Welcome to the The Vendue
With a downtown location and period details, The Vendue lands among the top choices in town for Priceline guests.
The three-story, 66-room Vendue, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is a non-smoking property set in adjoined historic warehouse buildings dating to the 18th century. Each unique room features classic architectural elements like exposed brick and fireplaces. Take advantage of the free Wi-Fi while lounging on the bed's Egyptian cotton sheets. Take a luxurious bath with high-end toiletries, then snuggle into a plush robe. The hotel offers an afternoon manager's guest reception with wine and hors d'oeuvres and evening cookies and milk. Grab a loaner bike to explore the neighborhood. Self-parking and valet parking are available for an extra fee.
The hotel is in Charleston's historic downtown French Quarter, less than 10 miles from Charleston International Airport. The hotel is steps from Waterfront Park, with its fountains and great views of the harbor and the USS Yorktown. The hotel is in a perfect area to explore on foot, with numerous restaurants, art galleries and shops nearby, including the famous boutique-packed King Street. It's less than a mile from White Point Gardens: the site of many a military skirmish, it's now a historic park, surrounded by classic Southern mansions.
Priceline guests "would recommend" the "exceptional" Vendue, with its "friendly staff," "elegant" surroundings and "lots of extras."

The main hotel closed the Sunday before we arrived for renovations. And will be closed for four months, reopening in March. So if you book here during the next four months be aware that you will be staying in their place across the street which has much charm, but may not be what you were expecting. Staff very friendly and helpful, limited as many were let go during the renovations. Great location close to the city market, shops, restaurants, clubs, and the water! I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again. ...

Our trip was to celebrate our 4th anniversary. We purchased 3 nights on PRICELINE. The first room we got on PL was an INSIDE QUEEN,NO WINDOW or other way to get out in emergency, not something expected in PL 4* rating and not something that was advertised on PRICELINE 4* descriptions. We had to pay an extra 90$ for the King which was a 3.5*. The bonus for the king room was a complimentary carafe of sherry. For a queen size with window we had to pay an extra 40$/night. These rooms were starting at XXX$/night!! The rooms were dark, but had nice exposed brick. The bed in the queen room we had for 2 nights had a wrought iron headboard which did not meet the mattress, therefore pillows slipped right through. The hallways were very worn. The hotel boasted a restaurant and rooftop deck which were both closed for renovations which we did not know until arrival. The hotel offered a continental breakfast which included oranges, bananas and apples, and teeny muffins & coffee. They offered an afternoon wine and cheese which was pleasant. The location was the absolute best part of this accomodation as it was within 5 minutes walk to the market and right on the edge of the Waterfront Park. We found the staff to be extremely friendly but with limited ability to change the issues we encountered. I would not recommend this hotel to friends or family. We were very surprised with this priceline hotel rating and lack of ability to change to a room with a second means of egress without an extra charge. In the past we have been very pleased with our Priceline bookings. ...

I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone that was visiting Charleston and I plan on staying here again. The hotel and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly. There were cookies baked for the guests each evening. Water and cool towels were available for guests all the time. We ate breakfast at the hotel each morning and prices were comparable and it was always good. I was very happy with my stay at this hotel. ...

I was extremely pleased with my stay at The Vendue Inn. The staff was extremely helpful with recommendations and super friendly. The location was perfect. I loved being able to walk over to the water in the mornings and sit on the porch style swings. We were near some INCREDIBLE food and the rooftop bar of the hotel was fun, convenient and had a beautiful view of the city. We walked to King street which is another popular area, but I preferred being off of East Bay as it was more quaint and less commercial feeling. ...
