Hotel Guest Reviews of the University Place Hotel And Conference Center

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Service, location. Walking was easy to most downtown and waterfront in Portland. Public transportation was at the feonsooe or around the corner. Breakfast was a smorgasbord !
Wifi not available in our room.

Needs remodeling!! The biggest problem was no outlets to charge tech stuff! For a hotel that promotes the college they sure can not keep up with the students tech wise! Tool turns charging stuff, TV was fuzzy and was blindsided with $15 a day to park!!

The free cookie when I checked in.
Hotel overbooked, room downgraded, guests had to pay for parking, AC didn't work, TV too quiet, furnishings were tired.

The room was comfortable and clean. The location is quite convenient to Portland State University.
The Wi-Fi access in the room was poor.

I like the closeness to public transportation that allowed us to get down town easily.
The fact that the room only came with hardline internet access and not Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi was one of the reasons we booked the hotel and then to turn around and it was only available in the lobby was disappointing.

The location is great. The cookies were good.
The front desk staff at check in was quite surly. We heard this repeatedly with other guests. Dingy rooms open areas were depressing. They over charged us as well.

Location is nice.
The walls are paper thin, the mattress is of the Motel 6 era (including bedspread), "free in room wifi" is a 2ft long internet cable at the desk, thus explaining the mystery stains on the floor.

This was a king deluxe room. Nothing deluxe about it. Room was straight from an 80's Motel 6. The mattress was hard, and have they not heard of a fitted sheet! The walls are so thin you can hear your neighbors 6AM phone calls! And the pillows were king size with a standard size case. The sink drained slowly (fixed next day), coffee pot didn't line up correctly and leaked when poured. Have they not heard of WIRELESS wifi? A 2FT long cable at the desk :( Seriously? This is a good sized hotel and yet there is only ONE elevator, and it bounces around upon arriving at your floor. They still have a TV the size of a mini frig, speaking of, you dont get. Bottom line, find another hotel. ...read more
