Mississippi Hotel Guides

Mississippi , a candid state tucked in the southern area of the United States, is proud of offering an extensive list of hotels and accommodations. No wonder why it's called the “Hospitality State”. For relaxed backpackers or the most demanding tourist, Mississippi has it all. Water is as abundant as the choices for lodging; magic hotels and cozy inns are all part of the landscape in the Mississippi Delta, home of the blues. It's not hard to plan a trip to see B.B. King perform at Tunica, Greenville or Biloxi, where you can stay at low-budget or five-star hotels. Tourists also take time to enjoy the casinos or to play some golf on amazing courses.

Mississippi visitors are sometimes surprised to witness its rare mix of cities, history and landscapes. Fishing lovers travel to Name Humpreys County, the Catfish capital of the world, and find charming inns and small hotels where they meet fellow fishermen. Another big attraction is Tupelo, Mississippi, the small town where Elvis Presley was born. No matter what hotel, inn or bed and breakfast you choose to stay at, the most important topic of conversation will be the King of Rock and Roll. Those looking for a first-hand experience with Mississippi could easily start traveling north of south of Cleveland, on the famous Highway 61. The road, on each direction, has plenty of lodging possibilities, from brand-name hotels with pool, gym and other amenities, to family-owned inns and motels, a great place to feel the hospitality of Mississippians.

Tourists must include a visit to one of the three large reservoirs located in Mississippi, where several campgrounds and outdoor-type inns and hotels offer a direct contact with nature and outdoor sports. With twenty-eight state parks to choose from, hiking on natural trails, mountain biking or canoeing are only some of the activities on the menu. Artists choose to live in or travel to the town of Natchez, where shops offer a wide selection of antiques, along with pottery and artwork made by Mississippi artisans. From any window of your hotel room in Natchez or Port Gibson you can stare at the most beautiful magnolia trees and Victorian, Spanish and antebellum buildings. Jackson is the capital and largest Metropolitan area, a place not be missed when traveling to Mississippi. Accommodations include five-star hotels that offer all sorts of amenities, easy and safe access to cultural landmarks such as the Alamo Theatre and the Ballet Mississippi.
