Hotel Guest Reviews of the Travelodge Savannah Area/Richmond Hill

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Nothing.
Plenty. Unclean. Poorly maintained. Uncaring staff. Location suited best for quick stop long distance travellers.

Floored by smell upon arrival. Carpets sticky/dirty. Shower in poor state of repair. Ceiling ready to fall because of previous water leaks above. One of the worst places I have ever stayed.

The front desk staff was amazing....I have never met such a friendly person as this lady! I had called two times from Canada in regards to our check in time concerned we would be late due to weather, she promised me our room till 4am.
Value for the dollar, would have liked more towels...

Well located off freeway, it was all we needed after a 16 hour drive, and affordable....

The lady at the front desk.
Yes; there were bugs in our room, the beds were flat and hard and there was mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. I left feeling terrible.

Very disappointed.

Mold all over bathroom ceiling, holes in the wall, tiles coming off in bathroom, patches all over the room's walls without being painted, badly stained carpet, one very tiny bath towel per person, did not feel the room was clean. The room needs a total renovation. The beds were comfortable and clean. Only thing we were totally satisfied with was that there was working internet and convenient to I95. ...read more

It was convenient and the price was good. The staff was courteous and helpful.
1. The room looked like it was in the middle of renovation. New carpet but missing baseboards and outlet covers. 2. Slow draining tub. 3. Coffee maker in dire need of descaling 4. Skipped breakfast because we could not get in in a timely manner.

The staff was excellent. The facilities, not so much. While there was a "free" breakfast, it consisted of the usual high-starch items which are not very diabetic friendly. On top of that, the space for breakfast service is shared with the front desk. The cramped space meant that a large group who arrived before we did so dominated the space that we were unable to get to the breakfast items before we needed to pack and leave, so we ended up paying for breakfast elsewhere. Other than that, this was just basic accommodations. It had the basic features one expects. In addition, WiFi connections were available and had a pretty good speed. If one needs just a basic place to stay overnight while travelling, this hotel is adequate. It is not a resort hotel. If one accepts this, this hotel is okay. ...read more

Not much. The staff was helpful. The water was very hot.
The hotel is run down and in bad need of rehabilitation. Everything is worn out. The public spaces have broken furniture and junk out in the open. The bath towels were small and very rough.

Price and location
Two star rating is definitely too high for this hotel. One star maybe. Housekeeping staff ignored "Do Not Disturb" sign on door. The place needs exterminating.

The policeman parked out front on arrival made me a little uneasy. Don't know what that was about. I was glad I had a room facing the front of the hotel versus the back because it looked unsafe even in the daytime. Overall, the place had the look and feel of an outdated, cheap motel. There was broken furniture stored at the top of the stairwell. The lighting in the room is very dim. The front desk staff was friendly/cordial but the rest of the staff were not engaging and the inability of the housekeeping staff to speak English caused some problems. Skip the "Complimentary Breakfast" and head over to Waffle House just a few yards away. In summary, whoever gave this place "2 Stars" has no credibility. Half star would be more appropriate. ...read more

The price
The shower had black mold in it. The breakfast was not hot or pleasant, should not offer it at all. And let customers go next door to Waffle House and eat. Door latches were not adequate.

Would not put this one on your list or recommend it to anyone
