Hotel Guest Reviews of the Travelodge Portland

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

I like their breakfast and nice service, especially the good deal with the nice location!
Too small room!

Cheap place to stay close to everything.
Kind of a seedy place. Fortunately it wasn't my car... But a car next to mine was broken into while I was staying there. Gross carpets, narrow hallways. I wouldn't stay there again.

Price at the time.
WiFi is a joke. I was not far from the hub and could not keep a connection to do anything on my phone. "Business center" is simply a dusty old PC on a small desk by the check-in desk with an old printer connected to it.

The hotel is located above a karaoke bar. Luckily, I was on the 2nd floor of the hotel, but could still hear the bass of music until 1-2am and the patrons do congregate out front of the bar/hotel. Also, I actually walked around the building and didn't notice anything that looked like a front door to the hotel. It is not marked with a sign or an overhang or anything. It is just a plain glass door around the right side of the building (if facing it from the karaoke bar street side). Some good things about the hotel's location is that there is a bus stop right across the street and the hotel is near the aerial tram if you want to check it out while on vacation. ...read more

Location
Very strong chemical smell that permeated my room. Didn't see bugs but felt itchy every time I was in the room. Water pressure in shower very weak.

Nothing.
This hotel is located on top of a bar which is open until 1:30am and on the three nights I stayed there (Monday 8/11 through Wednesday 8/13) there were drunk people below my room or sitting outside my window talking loud.

This is not an appropriate place for family stay by any means. The hotel is placed on top of a bar which is open until 1:30 am and you will have loud music/drunk people outside your window using bad words. The hotel is dirty and has not been taken care of. The people who stay there seem rough. I ended up moving out one night early and hope to receive a refund for the night I had not stayed there. ...read more

Cost and location
Afternoon staff tended to be rude. Also, the breakfast was pretty limited.

Somewhat old and in need of face lift - commensurate, however, with price. Location was good although very difficult to locate coming in from Seattle without a GPS.

Nothing good to be said!
Everything from stuck up staff attitudes to being a ripoff operation

The hotel, is deceptive in marketing. It does switch and bait. It is not what I expected!

Was very clean, not a chance of finding bedbugs like some previous reviews stated. Room was made up with fresh sheets and towels the next day. Great for the price.
Room was directly above bar and it got a little loud, but if you like to sleep with a fan on you can't notice it. Or bring earplugs. Breakfast wasn't fancy.

I usually stay for free in nice hotels but had to pay for this one, with that being said, it is old and kind of falling apart but the staff was really nice and my room was really clean. For half the price of staying somewhere "nice" it's totally worth it.
