Hotel Guest Reviews of the Travelodge Inn & Suites - Muscatine

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Nothing. I couldn't wait to get out of there.
No heat in first room. Moved (and upgraded) to 2nd room. No cleaning service in 4 days. Totally inept wifi. Hotel could NOT be used for a business stay. I will not stay there again.

breakfast was good!
Hotel was dirty, wallpaper peeling, coffee pot unsanitary, phones so old they are stained yellow, window AC smells like mildew. Pool fountain didn't work. The wood on the outside is dilapidated, wood safety rails falling apart and just laying around.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and hot. The rooms were cleaned daily.
The rooms close to the pool are very noisy! There is no outside smoking area. Customers huddle around the outside of other customers patio doors making it difficult to sleep.

It was an inexpensive stay
This hotel is in need of major renovations. Every single thing (except for the new Travelodge sign) needs to be replaced.

The hotel was in a good location in regards to nearby restaurants, grocery stores, and the highway. The staff were very nice to us.
The pool area was extremely hot and humid, to the point that you could not sit there. The breakfast room was only open until 10am. The TV channel selection was very poor.

Overall the hotel was what we were expecting. However, it would be nice if there were improved channels for the TV for those that wanted to stay in their room. Also, the temperature in the pool area needs to improve, or there needs to be another area for a small group of people to congregate. Finally, the breakfast room closing at 10am was disappointing. While it makes sense that the continental breakfast cannot continue, the small room with tables and chairs was the only other place to sit that was a comfortable temperature. If that room could be open throughout the day to allow people to sit and talk, that would be nice. The quality of the rooms varied. Some people in our group had rooms that included a fridge, microwave, and newer TV. Other rooms did not include these amenities. ...read more
