Hotel Guest Reviews of the Travelodge Clearlake

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Nothing really. It was an ok room for the price.
We stayed a week in the motel. The lady put us on the highway side( lots if noise all day and night) the maid cleaned the room daily but only refilled the coffee once in 7 days.

On a very busy noisy street!!! Request the back side!

it was clean.
beds were hard, a hole was found above the shower that appeared to be a peep hole and plaster was replaced. exposed wires in the ceiling. continental breakfast was sparse, coffee was cold.

it felt like a basic hole in the wall compared to my last visit to Clearlake. I had a family emergency where my mother had to go to hospital. travel lodge refused to cancel my reservation. stated they would charge me the full amount for the room. despite attempting to cancel within 1 hour of booking the room. I had to get someone else stay with my mother. I will never recommend travel lodge to any of my friends. I will never stay at travel lodge again ...read more

The price was good for the quality of the motel. The room was thoroughly cleaned every day, the bed comfortable, and a microwave & fridge were standard.
The continental breakfast was a joke.

I would upgrade the hotel to 2+ stars.

Unfortunately Nothing I Could Remember
how can i describe in one word?CHEAP! the management maybe nice people but whoever is responsible is so cheap to provide the everyday amenities. don't believe the ads, all free amenities could NOT be used, i left after 1 night though PAID for 2, no $ back

That was probably the worse experience with the cheap hotel. Even though the management tried to be nice and room looked ok for cheapest hotel - afterall small things accumulated to a huge snow ball and we left after 1st night. PAID in full for 2 nights, of course NO REFUND back! And unfortunately priceline doesn't want to stand for the guarateed amenities promissed but NOT provided. Free Wifi - Connection So slow, couldn't even check email, probably the place is so cheap to buy a good router. Free pool - so dirty, noone from the packed hotel was noticed there swimming (my little son wanted to swim so much that day, sorry, couldn't use it). For Free breakfast at 7am sharp I only saw a couple of bananas and a few slices of bread (that's for the whole Hotel I assume?). there was NO pen w/ paper when i really needed to write some numbers, NO sample goodies for shower that are normally found in the bathrooms even at cheap hotels, moreover the shower itself had no water pressure...On arrival i was notified i got automatically SMOKING room (for me & my baby?) And guess what? FINALY after screwing long weekend impressions, I need to take my son to doctor today as his body swallowed all over from bed bugs bites! priceline didn't replied to my customer support comments, still waiting...Hotel probably oversold that night I paid for and didn't stay. $xx! Moreover they couldn't even provide the checkout paper on my request. Nothing else to add. Very sad. ...read more

Near the lake. Near some restaurants.
The balcony was only the walkway to the rooms. They had problems with my booking. Terrible water pressure. The hotel was right next to several baseball diamonds. So, on the weekends, there was a townful of little children less than a 100 feet away

I would not stay here again. They could not find my booking. 45 minutes later, I was in my room, which had a beautiful view of a baseball diamond, which was a lovely thing to wake up to on a Saturday morning. The high-speed internet was low speed at best if it even worked. The water pressure was awful. The rooms were clean however. The balcony, which I had wrongly envisioned as private, was merely the walkway to the second story rooms. In an empty hotel, they positioned us right next door to a noisy family. If you are looking for a cheap place to crash for the night, I would choose somewhere else. This was definitely not the romantic getaway I had in mind. ...read more

Close to destination
It advertised for free toiletries if needed, did not have any when asked for them.

Price comparable for accomidations.
The bed was uncomfortable and the room smelled of smoke upon our arrival, dissipated, came back.

See statement #18. Also motorcycle traffic noisey and some guests were outside at 12:00am talking loudly.

They let us cancel our second night at check in with no charge, as our plans had changed. .
Looks scruffy from outside, but rooms are nice inside.
