Comfort Inn & Suites Near Lake Lanier

Major construction in area. Will be well accessable and convenient to eateries and shopping once construction is completed. Did not live up to it's star level.

Good clean room and convenient to where we were going.

Hotel is perfect for short business and pleasure stays, very clean and in a beautiful location with easy access.

Upon arriving at this hotel we were not really greeted. The clerk never got out of his chair and it seemed like we were intruding. He spoke so low that we could not hear him. He was very unfriendly. On another occasion we went to the pool and there were no towels so we went back to the room and got some. Later I called the front desk and asked if we could get two towels. She said yes to come to the desk. My husband went to the desk to be told that he would have to pay for the towels if they were not in the room. Everything felt cheap and like corners were cut, like loose hardware, broken knob on refrigerator, old TV with poor reception, missing or damaged furniture, old and scratchy towels, and bad breakfast. Most staff treated us like a burden rather than guests. Took a shower and placed the "do not disturb" sign on the door for about an hour. As a result, he maid left a note under the door saying they were unable to clean my room that day. I told the front desk and they tried to explain this was correct, but eventually agreed to when I explained the maid should have tried more than one time before giving up. Tickets are required for the breakfast, (which I have never seen before except when there is a real restaurant and it is a voucher for a free meal that others may have to pay for.) When we forgot our tickets the first day we were hassled and the attendant went to the front desk to verify our stay. The breakfast never changed during the three days and the only hot options were overcooked, dry, bland scrambled eggs and biscuits with gravy, although I could not even cut my biscuit with the plastic knife provided. We looked at the breakfast for the remaining two days, but did not eat there again after the first. Fridge and microwave are just stacked in middle of wall with no furniture. Chair was stained. Only got two bath towels and one hand towel, but four wash cloths. They were all very old, scratchy, and almost useless. TV was old had snow and distortions in the picture. ...read more
