Howard Johnson's was very nice. Our king-bed room was larger than expected, with comfy sofa and reading chair. Room and public areas were very clean including the pool and hot -tub (which was actually hot!). Check-in and out was smooth, front desk was informative about amenities. Breakfast was small, but adequate. Micro, fridge and coffee-maker in rooms a plus. Our room was up-to-date and all areas of hotel looked to be in good repair and well-taken care of. Bed was comfortable, TV was good, lighting in sink area very good. Location was great for downtown Rapid City activities and getting on I-90 handy. ...

Family Traveling with Young Children
This hotel is located close to Downtown. It is very clean and comfy and the staff is friendly. The pool is a good size and the water is warm. There are two hot tubs which is great. There are vending and pop machines, fridge in the room, and good parking. We really like this hotel.
