Hotel Guest Reviews of the Best Western Plus President Hotel At Times Square

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. lobby, the Saigon restaurant next to the hotel was excelent:
dryer broken, hot water coming out of hot and cold faucets, room temp was never comfortable. The staff reacted quickly but there was not one problem that was not there prior to our ocming in. Elevator wait could run up to 10-15 minutes

stars over rated, hotel fabulously located in Times square area, the Viet restaurant --Saigon--you musty eat at, it was a treat and well priced.

The rooms were small, but adequate. The location was fantastic, which is one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. The cleaning staff on our floor was great!
I think the price was a little high for what they offered, however, the location was great! We ended up with a mouse in our room, but they did offer us an upgrade at no extra charge for the last night, which was great.

If you don't plan on spending much time in your room and would like to be close to Time Square and other attractions downtown then I would recommend this hotel.

The location and friendliness of the staff.

I think the rooms were perfect for people coming to New York to site see. They were small rooms but we were hardly ever there. The beds were comfortable and the showers were hot.

It was in a great location and just off times square. Cleaning staff was very pleasant, spoke with her each day.
Double bed and room very small which I had been warned of the size. I don't remember hearing that it was a double bed. Staff at front desk were not so pleasant. Our room window was open when we arrived, I have never seen that in a hotel, no screen either.

Price was average, lots of taxes though. Be aware of that. It was a good location. I stayed with a girl friend and it still worked with double bed. My husband and I would never be able to handle that though.

Location was ok
Everthing, rooms were small, dirty and in disrepair. Staff was rude and did not care about my complaints.

Horrible. When I voiced my concerns I was told to talk to my travel agent. My 7 year old got sick and when I called down to ask for new sheets I was told they will need to get back to me on that one. No one got back to me and we spent the night on a bare mattress in a dirty, unkept tiny room with a view of an air handeler on a roof. For the record I never complain I try to be low maintainence but this was horrible and no one on the staff cared. Stay clear ...read more

At check in Sunny was very nice and then again throughout visit. Location was great and within walking distance to shows, Times Square and other attractions.
Non-smoking room smelled like smoke, bed was uncomfortable, water leaked from the sink pipes every time we used it. The bedding appeared clean with the exception of the pillows that were extremely nasty and exposed at the end of the pillow cases.

We were not happy with our room or the hotel. Staff were nice and location was great, but room was crazy small, even for NY, bed was uncomfortable and pillows were gross. Sink pipes in bathroom leaked and the only mirror available was in the bathroom which was really tiny and we had to take turns using it... also, no place to set anything down so had to walk back and forth from the bed to the bathroom for different items. Elevators had a long wait and were also really small, smallest I've ever seen. We will not stay at this hotel again. We would have liked to enjoy our room after long days out in the city and nights at shows, but we could not relax in that box with no view and smokey smell with the noise of the elevator all night long. I also have found that each time I use Priceline or any online site to purchase a hotel stay I receive the worst room with no view etc. Last time I said something and they changed the room. This time I hoped for the best and got the worst possible room ever. ...read more

Staff was very helpful and courteous
Did not have enough hot water early morning androom was small

The location on Times Square was very convenient. We were only somewhat happy with Greyline Tours. Their supposedly all access package did not include one line and they were rude when questioned about it. Most tour guides were very good but the one on the night tour did not seem to know much and was hard to understand. Overall trip was good enough that none of this really mattered much. ...read more

the only benefit to this hotel was its location. period.
everything. rooms were tiny, only full sized beds. elevator sucked- used stairs to 6th floor the WHOLE time. asked for a cot and up came an air mattress and when asked for pillows for it he pointed to the bed and said there they are

please do not ever consider staying at this hotel - between the decorations, the employees and the lack of air our room had in the middle of the night it was just disastrous!

Location

The windows are frosted, so there is no view and the bathroom door touches the toilet, so the quarters are small, but that is expected for the location.
