Hotel Guest Reviews of the Comfort Inn Chelsea

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Staff were not overly friendly nor did they acknowledge me as I was standing at the desk. The concierge assistant, however, made up for their lack. She was very warm and friendly.

This hotel is in great walking distance from MANY area attractions and restaurants. I do wish the room was slightly bigger, but that was minute.

The bathroom smelled like stale urine although the surfaces looked clean. The toilet paper rolls were so far across the bathroom, I had to stand up to fetch the paper.

The staff was very nice, for the most part.
I'm tall the beds were too short. The TV was not hi definition. Seriously? That's pathetic.

It was more than what I expected from a 2 star hotel. I'd give it 2.5 stars. Clean, yes. Decor nice, yes. Small, yes. But, for NYC relatively,
xxx for 2 nights, inexpensive. But, the bed was too short, though I don't sleep stretched out so no big whoop. And there was a slight, just slight, odor coming from the sink drain. I was hoping it wouldn't be a grungy experience, and it wasn't, the room, the bath, the bed, all very nice and clean. ...read more

Good location, nice breakfast included.
Room was right next to cleaning staff closet. Door would open and slam shut throughout the day. Housekeeping staff spoke on phone loudly outside our room for 15-20 minutes. Motor in wall of room went on and off for hours. Room tiny.

The location was great and the staff was friendly and helpful.
The rooms were small but it's to be expected in NYC.

Great location and friendly staff. The rooms are on the small side but the hotel is clean and convenient for local attractions.

This hotel had a very resonable price, great location, an adequate excercise room with towels and water, very good breakfast that was included, and clean rooms. I would go back here for our next visit.
Everything was just as expected or better than expected.

We drove into the city and parked at the parking garage that was recommended by the hotel. This garage gave a discounted rate to people who stayed at this hotel. The room was small, which we expected as this is NYC, but clean, with plenty of towels. The location was fantastic! At the intersections of Broadway and 5th Avenue. We walked to the beautiful High Line, Times Square and a couple of the colleges we looked at. ...read more

Good location. Nice staff.
Our room could get very cold when the heating unit was not on and when it was on it was noisy and it got too hot. Also, for the five of us (two adults and three kids) one bathroom was barely OK. But we were outside most of the day, so that's OK.

See above.

This is a hidden gem. Great value for 2 stars in a well preserved old building with clean and reasonably sized, affordable rooms, right in the Flat Iron district, with personable staff.
No - great value for money.
