Hotel Guest Reviews of the Affinia Dumont

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Loved the kitchenette area - it was very helpful to be able to eat a quick breakfast in the room before heading out.
The hotel was not able to call cabs for us ahead of time - they did help us flag them down, but it was quite tough at times.

This was a very nice hotel - clean rooms, pleasant and helpful staff, nice kitchenette, within walking distance to Empire State Building and Times Square (longer walk). It did not have overly large spaces (rooms and public areas), but decent for NYC.

Its location and cleanliness was impressive. Nice sized studio room for 2 people. Good closet space and a kitchen, say what! LOL
I was on the 5th floor so I didn't get the excellent views and there was no where to go to see the excellent views if you weren't on those top floors. I wish there could have been a common space up there.

Great area felt safe at night. Walkable to stations. I actually walked to Penn Station no problem.

Very large rooms, location, price
Their restaurant Barking Dog needs a lot of work

This hotel is the only hotel that families should consider because the rooms are very large, and in NY that is an impossibility. We were a family of 4 adults and 2 small children and we got a studio and a one bedroom. The studio is larger than most double rooms in the NY hotels available for our price budget. The hotel has been remodeled, but the bathrooms were not upgraded but still first class quality. The staff is super attentive and is at your door as soon as you call for assistance. The studio had a full kitchen (i.e. stove etc.) but the one bedroom only had a microwave kitchen, which surprised me, as one would think the full kitchen should be in the one bedroom. Towels were changed everyday. This does not happen anymore in any of the hotels we stay in. Highly recommended -- will be our hotel in NY from now on! ...read more

Convenient location in New York City.
No place to put "stuff (cosmetics, toiletries, etc.) in bathroom.

Convenient location, large rooms, friendly staff, valet parking, a lot that we needed and at a reasonable rate for NYC

Very spacious. Kitchen with full refrig was a plus! Lots of outlets for electronic equipment. Coin-operated laundry in basement a plus!
A new towel had dark brown stains on it.

Other than the stained towel, this hotel was near perfect!!

Great location, huge rooms for Manhattan, kitchen, large bathroom, clean, and comfortable.
The walls seem to be very thin.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in January. We had two rooms and were traveling with a toddler. The staff was very helpful at check-in and the rooms, bathroom and kitchen were large for Manhattan. The beds were very comfortable and they provide a pillow menu to make it even better. Kitchen is basic, but great for traveling with a baby. Great location with a subway station, pharmacies, grocery stores, delis and restaurants, and some shopping all within a few blocks. Room was alway very clean and the neighborhood is safe and busy. We will definitely be making this our go-to hotel for Manhattan. My only compliant is that the walls seem to be very thin. Our toddler was in the other room, down the hall and around a corner, and it sounded like she was just outside in the hall. Not even screaming, just being a noisy toddler.
