Hotel Guest Reviews of the Intercontinental Buckhead
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 10, 2013

When I woke up Saturday morning, I smelled something in the bathroom. The sink had back-flowed with what smelled like vomit. My fiance and I arrived at the hotel at 10:30 the night before and only had two drinks each at the hotel bar. Neither one of us were drunk or sick the night we stayed at the hotel. I called the front desk and told them about the problem. They did say that a pipe likely was backed up from another room and said they would send someone up. About 15 minutes later they sent a maid who did not speak English and thought we wanted her to vacuum the room. I showed her the sink and she called someone else downstairs before leaving. We waited about half an hour and no one showed up so I called the desk again. They said they would send someone...no one came, so I went downstairs. I talked to someone at the front desk and they got the maintenance person to come up. I explained to him that we did not clog up the sink, although he spoke little English and laughed that we must have partied hard the night before. He said it was going to take a while to fix. We were in the middle of traveling to a wedding that was 3 hours away, so we were in a rush needed to leave the hotel...obviously without being able to use the bathroom to get ready. Before we left I asked to speak to a manager. The manager was very was sorry for the problem. She said they had reports of a couple similar things happening in other rooms that morning but then said that she could not refund the room since it was PRICELINED!! Instead she said they could cover parking and give us a free breakfast, just charge it to the room and they would not charge my card. The breakfast was great (over $50 for the two of us), but when I looked at my credit card account yesterday I saw that I was charged for both parking and breakfast, $80+ total. I'm in the process of trying to get them to take it off. This is the first time I have been extremely disappointed with a Priceline hotel! ...

Excellent experience overall, but need to be aware that they charge $22 per day for parking and $10 to $15 per day for internet use.

Generally a fine hotel, great location, very professional staff. Excellent food & bar. Arrive early in the day if you expect to have the bed size of your choice.

The hotel was definitely of 5 star status. Service was excellent and the rooms were awesome. I have always wanted to stay at this hotel however I always passed it up for another one in the area. No complaints at all.
