Hotel Guest Reviews of the Luxor Hotel And Casino

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Nothing really stands out in my mind. The hotel was ok, the staff was ok, the restaurants we ate at were ok. I probably won't stay here again.
The staff wasn't very helpful or friendly. They seemed put out if you asked them a question and nothing is really clearly marked. The restaurants were severely lacking.

Good location. Close to airport and car rental drop off. Traveling with kids who thought the hotel was pretty cool and different.
The rooms were a bit dated. Bathroom was old, had a shower door that looked just like the one in my grandparents house. The furniture was worn in places. Just kind of old and needs some updating. Was more like a cheap motel.

Good location close to lots on the strip, airport and car rental return. We travel with kids on this trip and they thought the hotel was pretty cool and different. We stayed bc we got a great rate on the room. The main areas of the hotel were ok. Good Starbucks, overpriced pub. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Having said all of that.... Not sure if we'd stay again. The rooms are a bit old and they need updating. The bathroom had an old tub shower door that barely opened. Furniture was worn in places and the room smelled a bit. It was reasonably clean. The room itself felt more like a bargain motel room. ...read more

Good location. Nice room. good view.
Elevators were often crowded and hot.

Hotel on its own has lots to do inside without needing to leave. The fact that it is connected to 2 other hotels is great.

Dear Luxor and Priceline.com This letter is addressed to the both of you, as it concerns both companies. I recently returned from my trip to Las Vegas, and you have both been kind enough to ask me for a review
Let me be honest with you, I/we (my parents and I) are extremely disappointed with this entire experience. I negotiated a price on priceline.com for 2 rooms for a total of 2 days at the Luxor in Las Vegas. (continue below)

My total ended up being XXX, a fair price i´ll say for being Monday to Wednesday in the off season. Upon arriving at the Luxor for my check in, I am asked to pay a total of $80.64 on top of my already negotiated price of XXX. I am told it is a ¿resort fee¿. Luxor and Priceline.com¿. THIS IS NOT OKAY AT ALL!!!!! I have negotiated a price at home, and then I have to pay in excess of 50% on top of that in order to check in and get my room keys??? That is a very unprofessional business strategy. Priceline.com, you MUST list those fees upfront when I make my booking. It is NOT enough to list in my agreement that that there may be additional charges, you MUST and I repeat, you MUST list those exact charges so when I make my booking that I have REALISTIC idea of the actual price I will pay for my stay. If I had known up front that the stay would be over 50% more expensive, I would N-E-V-E-R have stayed at Luxor. Giving the fact that I had already paid priceline.com upfront before arriving, then my money would have been lost if I would have chosen another hotels. Information containing the exact amount of money to be paid in fees is absolutely MANDATORY Luxor and Priceline.com, if you want to strive to be better and go for 100% customer satisfaction, then I expect to get my $80,64 returned to the credit card it was charged from. Please do not offer me additional vouchers or discounts in the future, as I am unsure if I will ever use your company again. I honestly feel that I have been screwed over, and I NEVER expected such unfair treatment for such a professional company as Luxor and priceline.com claims to be. ...read more

It's on the strip.
The room was fine, but nothing special. Same for the pool area, which was way overcrowded unless you paid extra to go to a restricted area.

Everything was perfectly sufficient, but not particularly special.

Great location, friendly bell and front desk staff.
Restaurant staff was not very helpful or courteous at both venues we had food at.

Great value, rooms take a while to cool down, but they do.

Location
The hotel

Although, my room was on the 6th floor within the pyramid, the nightclub which was on the 1st floor would make the walls and window shake until 4am. The carpets and wallpaper are poorly kept. The common areas are very dark and unrenovated. My cell phone charger disappeared. Despite the decent location within the strip, I would avoid coming to this hotel.

Our room was so QUIET! It was very nice and clean also, and well appointed.
How far you had to walk to get back to your room, or from the check in to the elevators. My friend hurt her foot, and there was no-one to help us with our bags or anything. And it was quite a trek!
