Hotel Guest Reviews of the Renaissance Eden Roc Miami Beach
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 28, 2013

Front desk staff could be very nice or borderline surly, depending on luck of the moment, and it took a LONG time to get checked in. Did not get upgrade as is customary with Marriott properties for Silver card holders. To save money, use Ipass if you are a subscriber to avoid the $14.99 daily internet charge, and/or park in the public lot next door to avoid the $35 valet charge. You can also stock food in the fridge (as long as they don't decide to switch it for a new one mid-stay and chuck what you purchased..) Valet staff was consistently very friendly and efficient most of the time, save one evening where I waited 20 minutes. The green salad with shrimp on room service menu is excellent, as is the frittata for breakfast. They need better lights in bathroom, ceramic mugs for in-room coffee/tea instead of disposable cups (PLEASE! at a 5* hotel?), more efficient handling of incoming mail/packages (though I had used the hotel address my package was first marked undeliverable, finally arriving the day after I had left...). ...

Beautiful hotel and room and surroundings. The hotel was unsilling to accept any responsibility for my stolen bag. Management not very helpful with support or problem solving.

The Eden Roc Miami Beach exceeded my expectations in every manner. The hotel appears to have been renovated recently, and the interior design is striking and yet exceedingly comfortable. There are lounging areas in the public spaces both inside and outside the hotel (near the pool) that are thoughtfully placed and comfortable. There are a number of pools to choose from, depending on how seriously you swim and whether or not you want to be around children. The poolside bar has an exquisite view of the ocean, and there are plenty of options as far as sunbathing is concerned. Room service is refined without being pretentious, and the rooms seem to have all the conveniences you need in exactly the places you would want them. The bathrooms feel more like luxury home bathrooms than hotel ones. The fittings are of high quality, and there's plenty of space for a couple without having to trip over each other while getting ready in the morning. The combination of convenience, service and relaxation offered by the Eden Roc represents an exceptional value in Miami Beach.
