Hotel Guest Reviews of the Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel Chicago

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The staff.
The room was a little cramped.

Incredible. I said the room was a little small, but with their location, who cares? The only reason to be in the room is to sleep and I only need a comfortable bed for that. And a comfortable bed they have got. The shower is unique as well and after I figured it out, was quite nice. The staff and location are superb. We wondered where Michigan Avenue might be and were informed that we were in fact on it. They knew all the stores and all the best best food spots. The concierge gave us a list of restaurants for lunch, but then confided that we should hit this street vendor instead if we were up for a walk. From now on, when I think of Chicago, I will think of that street vendor. Who knew such magic could be worked with a brat? Great experience. ...read more

Nice appeal and décor. Comfortable and convenient.
Parking was hard to find. We spoke to someone on the phone and directions were confusing. Also we came for the show (Dinner Detective) and were told to wait near the bar to be notified. We were never notified and eventually had to figure it out ourselves.

Disappointed that the did not have CTA day passes and did not know where to get them elsewhere or what the cost was.

the valet service was the friendliest of all - they were very welcoming, professional and hospitable!
the room was cold and the staff informed us that the heat had been turned off for the season. we were given a small space heater, but were still a bit cold. Also, there was a prom at the hotel that evening so it was rather loud.

Staff was super friendly from the bell hop to the bartenders
no free wifi in rooms kind of bs for the amount ya pay for room.

Great location right next to John Hancock Tower, and shopping and eating. public parking close 30/day. Would stay again.

Location to my business near Loyola University was good. Comfortable room and since not directly on Mich Ave much less street noise.
My room had a connecting door to an adjoining room. Little, if any, sound deadening between the rooms ... and it can be a real problem!

This is an older hotel and is plain to see if you know where to look. However, that does have some charm appeal as it has a warm feeling. It appears that money is being spent on ungrading and hopefully that will be consistent throughout the hotel. One negative was the gathering in the front of smokers. This can be a challenge for any place of public accommodation. While respectful of those who smoke it does create an ackward appearance. ...read more

Located in the heart of it all. Prime location for such a great deal.
Parking is expensive. You certainly don't need a car, but if you're splitting your time between the city and burbs like I did, the $55 daily charge is not small change. I parked near Navy Pier for $25 and paid about $10 RT for cabs.

Great service, super clean and modern room, great value.

LOCATION! Around the corner from Water Tower and John Hancock bldg
Small room and barely any privacy in the bathroom could hear everything going on in the halls as well. Housekeeping didn't change the sheets when I accidentally spilled on them.

Overall it was a decent place to stay. Location was great easy access to public transportation rooms were a bit small but not a big deal when only needed to sleep.
