Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hyatt Regency Chicago

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Staff was helpful and view from room was great.
Parking was $50 per day, but I think that is probably the going rate for the area. No free wi-fi was annoying.

Hotel was within walking distance of what we needed.

Was centrally located and was easy to get to places around the city.
I did not like the lobby set up and how it felt like self-service....

The location and the staff were great
Elevators weren't working on the day we checked out. Ended up having to walk down 9 flights of stairs with our heavy bags. Not fun.

Great hotel, especially for the price we paid. One of the beds in the room was VERY worn out though. The other bed was much better. Updates were nice from their remodel. The AC wasn't getting cold enough though. Ended up sending up a tech right away to fix the air conditioning and sent up a fan. The whole staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location in downtown. Lots of things are right within walking distance. Will definitely go back! ...read more

Perfect location. And we really appreciated being able to keep our car in the parking garage until 6 pm on day of checkout.
WiFi wasn't free.

Overall, very nice hotel. The location is perfect- within short walking distance to Michigan Ave, Navy Pier, Millennium Park, and many great restaurants (Giordanos Pizza, Wildberry Cafe, Corner Bakery...) Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The location is excellent, and recent updates to the buildings and public spaces are very nice.
The rooms were a bit dark. The staff was friendly but not always consistent about what was included through our Priceline package. There weren't enough towels or glasses for the number of people in our rooms (even though the hotel knew the # up front).

The location at Wacker and Michigan is fantastic -- in terms of walkability to attractions as well as access to public transportation. The hotel has been updated in some areas, and definitely feels more contemporary and upscale. Staff were friendly. The rooms are fine but a bit dark. Although the rooms weren't dirty the overall appearance of the halls and rooms (in the West Tower at least) wasn't fantastic. We were clear that there were 3 individuals in both double bed rooms, and we did not have towels for three people. That noted, when we did ask for additional towels (or getting a cab, etc.), the front desk was very helpful. The breakfast buffet is very nice (albeit pricey at $30). Overall, it's an above average hotel and experience. ...read more

The staff was outstanding! Everywhere in the hotel, we received pleasant, helpful and willing staff (housekeeping (Irma), lobby bar (Cindy), Big Bar (don't remember), check-in (Kevin) and check-out (?), concierge (Miles),& taxi service is great!
The television did not work in the room, but it was fixed promptly. It would have been nice to have more shops to browse (just a small gift shop is available).

This hotel is a "techie" heaven. It is efficient with all the digital amenities and services. The decor is somewhat masculine and fits the clean, unfussy atmosphere. It is full of light and accommodates large crowds. There are underground tunnels to neighborhood shops and streets. Many, many pluses. Get a room with a view of the Chicago River and Lake Michigan/Navy Pier...spectacular! ...read more

Sensitive Weight Bar, nobody tell you and you end up paying 200$ bill at the end if you move the stuff inside to put you own beverage.

Great location. Easy to walk in the Loop and come back to the hotel for a quick nape. No pool. No place to enjoy the outisde.

The service was incredible, and the hotel did extra "little things" that really add up, like providing a whole list of free items you can order - from toothpaste to a brush to baby products.

This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. I will always consider booking with Hyatt from now on.
