The hotel is a casino. Most casinos will not charge much money as they want you to enjoy your stay and gamble. The breakfast buffet was priced very high for Panama and the food was not very good.In the room, their is a quote on the phone saying "no service charge". I asked how much is it per phone call to the U.S. and the employee did not know. I have a cell phone for all of Central America but when I am in the room I sometimes use the hotel phone and I am usually charged $1.49-$3.00 per minute. I WAS CHARGED ALMOST $5.00 PER MINUTE!! I just got back to the states and will be calling my American Express to dispute the charge. When I checked out, I asked to speak with a manager the the front desk woman told me that is their charge and there is nothing they can do about it. ...

Overall experience at the Vento met my expectations. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Most of them spoke English or at least understand it. The room was spacious and clean. Will definitely stay there on my next trip to Panama!

The area around the hotel as well inside was full of hookers and pimps. The street around the hotel was very dirty with garbage all over the place and it stunk.

This hotel caters primarily to its casino customers. There were a few children present. Our room was comfortable, clean and everything worked except for the telephone. It is ideally located in downtown Panama City with many good restaurants within close proximity. I found the staff to be very friendly but I thought they should have inquired about internet at check-in because a code is required and that is issued by them at the desk. ...

The rooms were small with dated with Victorian decor, however the bathrooms were beautiful. The pool area was great, however we found an fake toe nail by the pool that really grossed us out. the Gym was awful, the space was great but the machines were old and barely worked.

Nice and clean hotel. One suggestion: try to implement a dress code at the Bar on second floor.
