Hotel Guest Reviews of the Colonnade Hotel
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 10, 2013

This hotel is right next to the "T" Bostons premier transportation. You can also rent bikes to get around the city. We were near Northeastern University campus, and many others. We were within walking distance of Newberry street with a myriad of shops, and restaurants. The hotel is across the street from the Prudential center. On my last day I realized that breakfast in the food court was the best bet and delicious which is only a few steps away from the hotel. Our favorite restaurant Limoncello (Italian), and Mikes Pastry both in the North end are a T ride or $12.-$15. dollar cab ride away. Perfect location. The weather was beautiful. The concierge offers great suggestions if you need help. ...

I'd like to have given this hotel a high rating because it is a lovely modern hotel with all the amenities, but it failed the number one purpose of a hotel since we were unable to sleep due to noise from the streets below. And we had specifically requested a quiet room because of an audition at NEC the next day!

The hotel is very modern and well-kept with an outstanding staff. All the way from the doorman (Norman), to the front desk, to the coincerige-the staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and will do anything to ensure that your stay is enjoyable. The location is good being right next to a subway stop and on the hop on-hop off trolley trail. It is a walkable distance from the hotel to Newbury Street. ...

Despite claimed recent remodel, hotel is worn and tattered. "almost nice hotel" is what my girlfriend said.
Common areas furniture was beat up, in room furniture heavily chipped and worn. A/c unit noisy and incapable of cooling to desired temp. Black mold on a board screwed to the wall behind the a/c unit, which was loose and would not move back into position covering the board. Bath mat rug was threadbare and covered with loose yarn. Curtains would not slide easily on overhead pole, had to climb on chair to pull from top. Robes were stiff and scratchy. Lack of pressure compensators on shower, temperature fluctuates widely and painfully. In room decor bland. $15 charge for wifi, any charge for wifi in this day and age is shameful in a $300+ per night room. Very expensive parking. Paid 1/2 as much in NYC. Restaurant was very nice! Overall the hotel is not 4 star as claimed. In room accommodations closer to 1 to 1.5 star. Does not compare to the Marlowe in style or amenities. ...

After finding a hotel of this quality and central location my first inclination. The accommodations and beauty of this hotel far exceeded my expectations. I would definitely pay full price to stay at this hotel in the future.
