Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. It was a beautiful hotel but we received the worst room available.
Did not know about the $28a night valet until I arrived. Water was way too hot and bed was hard.

Absolutely LOVED this hotel! It is literally a two block walk to Bourbon Street. The Room was HUGE and clean, the staff were ANGELS, and the location could not be outdone. Ill be staying here every single visit from here on out!
They have half smoking floors so if it bothers you just make sure you request a non smoking floor!

I felt incredibly safe in the HGI. You have to have a room key to get to the floors with rooms and the staff is there for anything you need at any time. Canal street is two blocks up which makes it incredibly easy to catch a cab/Trolly to get around and its literally on the street that turns into Bourbon! I would not stay anywhere else in New Orleans.

I liked the location. We were close enough to the Quarter, but far enough that we didn't feel like drinking and partying were the only options.
For the price and location, we got what we paid for

We were in New Orleans between 12/28 and 1/3/2012. For the price, we got a steal. The hotel was clean, the rooms were decent, and the rate was awesome. We were in walking distance to the all sorts of attractions including The Quarter, The Casino, The Superdome, and transportation to Magazine Street and the Tulane/Loyola area.

Rooms were very nice. Nice location. Everything we needed was within walking distance.
The thing that suprised me was how expensive that the Valet Parking was. (No Public Parking) Yes, I wish that I had known before, because we had two vehicles. Overall, it was a very good stay.

I would recommend this Hotel to anyone. The room was very clean and the Staff was very helpful. It's location is walking distance to Canal Street. (That was really a plus.)

Great friendly service
Lobby under construction

This hotel is a great location for visits to NOLA that include the French Quarter or the Super Dome or Arena. Both are just a short walk away. Only 2 block from Canal street but that little bit of distance brings the noise down a great deal and the shuttle to the St. Charles Street car is only a block away. The breakfast buffet is just so-so, definitely not worth $16, but it's New Orleans, unless you're just too lazy to go around the corner to get great food, you can skip it. The staff from the front desk to the housekeepers are super friendly. The only negative I have to say was that the last day of my 4 day stay, housekeepers who wanted to get a jump on their work day looking for rooms that were already empty stated knocking on my dorr at 7 am and kept knocking every 15-30 minutes for the rest of the morning until I was ready to leave. Very annoying. ...read more

Great location, staffs of hotel are kindly.
Smell very bad because the room has heavy smoking, especially in the non-smoking room.

Very nice room and the people. They were very friendly all the way to housekeeping.
No

Went to Saints game. Room was located in easy walking distance to the dome and also not far from French Quarters me and my wife visited both. And the Saints won, so it made it that much nicer.
