Hotel Guest Reviews of the Embassy Suites Hotel Washington DC Convention Center
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 2, 2013

Great location, current construction in close vicinity but well controlled so no difficulty with gettingIn and out. DC attractions within walking distance but taxis buses and tours available and handy brochures in the lobby. The Embassy staff very welcoming and efficient. Plan to Start you day earlyAs the gov't attractions close at 5pm, DC IS Awesome. Our 5 days not enough to do more than scratch the surface. And great to come back to our attractive and clean and comfortable EmbassySuite. Highly recommend the Segway tour, a truly fun close up adventure thru the Capitol attractions, closer than the tour buses. Had very. Good meals and service at Finn & Porter in the Embassy would recommend really loved the crab chowder. ...

Hotel is close to many of the sites. Great breakfast and there is a managers social in the evening with complimentary snacks and beverages. Was a steal of a deal for everything that was offered.

This is a great place to stay. The location is awesome for dining options, although many may prefer a cab over my preference - walking. Bobby Van's, Old Ebbitt Grill, are two of the greatest and are nearby. Metro is not far away either. It was a 6 block walk. Beat the heck out of a cab ride from Reagan; and only probably cost me about 5-10 minutes. I give the workout room a C+. Nothing special, but decent quality PRECOR equipment. Nice to have a view of traffic out the window of the second floor while treadmilling it. Pool looks great, so don't be afraid to bring the kids.
If you are in tourist mode, excellent central location to the White House, the Mall (and all the monuments), the Capital, and many many museums - both private and public. The ambitious could walk to all these places, or, very minimal cab rides. The concierge sent me on a run to see Abe at the Lincoln Memorial. It was 3.8miles round trip. Perfect. The smells from Old Ebbitt Grill caused me to hurry-up and shower and return on foot a half-hour later. Truly a great kind of old-school DC location.
The made-to-order and buffet breakfast is included at the Embassy Suites. And it was very good. AND, bonus - free happy hour, or "managers reception." Basic mixed drinks, beer, whine, chips, salsa, drinks for the kiddos. Very nice way to wind down. I was in town for two days of packed business meetings. So it was very nice to return each night to a comfortable environment and not have to trip over beds, clothes, and luggage. I was able to spread out. I even used the couch for a few minutes. Nightime was quiet, which is good for sleep, right? ...
