Nobu Waikiki in Honolulu
Restaurant Guest Reviews for Nobu Waikiki
Apr 28, 2010
We visit Hawaii every year and when we heard of Nobu opening up in front of our hotel, Halekulani, a few years ago, we were so excited about experiencing the famous Nobu's food. However, we were so disappointed by their staff and menu entries. Nobu is know for its creativity with amazing presentation of dishes, but it was far from "Japanese" cuisine. The quality of food was good, but if you want to enjoy typical, traditional Japanese food, Nobu's menus would be far-off, since the restaurant arranges and adds sophisticated flavors and ingredients too much and they don't taste like Japanese at all. If you are American and loves Americanized Japanese dishes, they got it for you. Speaking of their staff at Nobu, they could not explain items on the menu or answer to customer's questions at all. The restaurant is being highly rated nation-widely, but we don't think we are returning. There are better places to eat with better deals nearby.
