Restaurant Guest Reviews for Johnny Rockets

I was recently in downtown Denver for a week-long Spring Break and ate at Johnny Rocket's twice. I always seek out the retro, 1950's diners whenever I travel and I would rank Johnny Rocket's right up there with the best of them. The location is superb on the 16th Street Pedestrian Mall, within walking distance from many downtown hotels. Expect to be greeted warmly with fun Oldies playing on the jukebox and vintage, colorful Coca-Cola posters adorning the walls. Don't expect the cooks to be covertly hidden away in the kitchen they are right in front of you at the center of the restaurant so you can watch them flip your burger. The waiters are great and very attentive and the menu offers a broad selection of traditional diner foods like various burgers and sandwiches, chicken tenders and milkshakes, etc. It's reasonably priced for what you get and considering you are in Downtown Denver amongst a plethora of overpriced restaurants, that's a good thing! The restaurant offers seating in a covered, outdoor patio area if the weather is pleasant but the indoor booths by the window are just as great for people-watching on 16th Street. Johnny Rocket's was also offering a great promotion when I was there buy a sandwich and drink and have the option of purchasing $7.50 movie ticket vouchers. The UA movie complex is across the street in the Denver Pavillions and their ticket prices are steep for evening shows, so save yourself 4 or 5 bucks per ticket and buy them at Johnny Rocket's. And I had no problems redeeming the vouchers later at the theater. Couldn't be easier! Overall, a great diner and a super convenient location!
