Hotel Guest Reviews of the Gran Melia Golf Resort Puerto Rico

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. The pool and the property was beautiful. I like the idea of the golf carts to drive you wherever your room was.
The Italian and the Asian restaurant should both be open during the week. It was one night this one was open and then the next night the other one. The prices in the "convience" store were really expensive. The rooms need updating.

Beautiful property and resort. Spacious bedrooms with balconies. Great pool areas andd fitness room. Good choices of restaurants. Very relaxing. Was there for 5 days
Staff not trained well.trying to get towels or shampoo or soap to rm.Took forever&had to ask 3-4 times ea time.Didn't see a lot of management around to direct staff.Food could be improved on buffet and in restaurant.outside entrance way to rms never clean

It really is a beautiful hotel. They just need to check on staff and food so that everything is up to par and certain areas should be cleaned on a regular basis. This requires training or direction from GM Guestrooms are really spacious and if u like walking this is the place to be.staff is friendly and there are a couple of great workers there. - especially at red level pool area and the butlers.they are very helpful. ...read more

The hotel was very nice, the room was clean and the grounds were just beautiful.
We arrived early and they would not let us check in without an additional charge. Even though the resort was not busy. They also charged us $15 for parking which is another thing that is totally absurd.

The gentlemen driving the carts throughout the property were very nice and helpful.

The room was large and clean. The main lobby and grounds were beautiful. The pool was large and not crowded.
The grounds were large requiring a golf cart to take you from your room to restaurants and pool area. The beach area was not good for swimming. The pool needed repainting and caulking. The restaurant is over priced for the quality of food.

Nice hotel. Horrible serice.
They never put towels in the room. Service was not good. When we called the front desk no answer. Left message for the manager who never returned the calls.

The swim up bar at the pool was good, although service was terribly slow. The Avenue Bar was a nice place to relax in the evenings. Arcade games and events for the kids were good. Room was spacious with two doubles and a pull out sofa. Balcony excellent.
This is not a 4 star. Service is terrible in many areas and the staff don't seem to care -at the poolside grill and towel shack. Not enough chairs by the pool. Housekeeping left us no towels one night. Room service was slow. Yet very pricey!
