A decent place to hang your hat for an evening or two. The restaurant around the corner does have really good fish & chips and poutine.

Family Traveling with Young Children
We had driven for 8 hours and arrived around 11 pm. No one was at the desk when we went to check in. We parked and came back and still had to wait with our luggage and 2 year old. Finally the employees came in from smoking outside. We went to our room which was an express deal by Priceline and the whole floor had a funky smell. Our room was filthy and tiny and there was not enough room for our family even though we had specified the number of people. We took all of our stuff and went back down to the desk only to find the employees outside smoking again. When they finally came in the only room they had was over the bar with a view of the dumpsters and had no elevator access. We were so exhausted we agreed to take the room. Again this room was dirty and stinky and there were insects in the bathroom. We were exhausted so we went to bed but got little sleep due to the noise from the bar. In the morning we went to the free breakfast and were disappointed to find barely any food in a dirty, unwelcoming corner of the restaurant. The female staff member who was cleaning up could not have been more miserable or rude. The man who was "greeting" people at the front counter only sneered in our direction and motioned to us where the breakfast area was. The staff did little to help us. We had called ahead to ask if there was a playpen available but the woman who answered the phone said she had to go look for it but she wasn't going to so we would have to ask when we checked in. We did ask and again the staff member said he would have to go look for the playpen. Later he said he couldn't find it and gave us a comforter to use instead and suggested we just put it on the floor and our child could sleep there. We decided to leave and found a great place for our second night. When we told the staff member why we were leaving he said the manager would follow up with us but we have heard nothing so far. Very disappointed. ...

Good hotel to stay at.

Price was good and I would rate this a 3 out of 5 star hotel. Warning: Our room was above the bar, right above the stage in fact, and when the live band started playing Friday night around 10pm we realized we were in for some big trouble. Our whole room was shaking and booming. We were promptly moved to a quiet room on the other side of the hotel floor. A bit inconvenient after a long day's work, but thankful the problem was solved quickly and with apologies from manager. The gym shouldn't put bleach in spray bottle to wipe equipment as it wrecks fabrics & clothes. I am waiting to hear back from Priceline about the refund from our original booking when we upgraded our room. There was a difference of $25 less refunded to my CC and there is an investigation underway. ...

Be aware the walls are very thin and so you can hear your neighbors conversations, it is also right on a very busy main roadway and directly behind is the transit train which runs very often! I actually booked this hotel on priceline by error due to pop ups when I was searching for another chain and a different location. Unfortunately priceline does not allow for any changes or transfers! ...
