Hotel Guest Reviews of the Tillicum Inn

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The price and location was why I choose this motel
I reserved a non-smoking room and was given a smoking room because we were the last to arrive. Our neighboor next to us smoked until 1 am! Yuck!

Given that this town is small and economically dying, dont expect big town living. The rooms were okay. Our beds were soft and we didnt wake up with sore backs. The AC units were new and when we arrived they were blowing a beautiful 60 degrees. The closest place to eat breakfast was in the next town over. We drove to Pendleton since it was on the way. If you arent expecting current modern lines with a boutique hotel feel and dont mind 70's linoleum (that's retro right now isn't it?) for good price consider this spot. ...read more

Nothing at all was even acceptable.
The amenities that were shown as offered, were not. The staff was horribly rude. I've not been treated so terribly in years!

The amenities that were shown as offered, were not. The staff was horribly rude. I've not been treated so terribly in years! Staff lied to my face about no cancellation fee, given that the amenities (suite, pool...) were not even there at all, and then charged me. I was calm and polite. Staff was not professional, calm, or polite. When I made a phone call to Priceline to attempt to resolve, staff actually called Police to have me and my two children removed. The Police mocked him and apologized to me; I felt horrible that their time was wasted and that we were in NO way a threat or even hostile, but were treated like dangerous criminals. Staff said if he didn't charge me the cancel fee and/or call Police when I phoned Priceline, he would be fired. I think he should be anyhow. The whole experience was HUMILIATING! ...read more

Very accommodating. Staff went above and beyond making our stay very comfortable.
Location next to a bar.

The staff had forgotten to make up a roll away bed that we requested. So we were given another room that adjoined to our existing room for free. That was so nice. Rooms were clean. Staff was great.

It was in a convenient location.
The staff.

I made the reservation for this motel and gave my credit card number to ensure a late check-in. When we got there at 11:00 PM I stood and rang the bell for several minutes. No one came. After a little while, I called the motel. While the phone was ringing, an unfriendly woman came around the corner and just said "I hope you aren't looking for a room". I told her that I had a reservation, and tried to show her the document with the reservation and confirmation number. She wouldn't look at it and all she said was that it was Priceline's problem. Apparently, she had given our room away, and didn't want to talk to us about it. For this reason, I can not actually rate the accommodations - only the staff. If I could rate lower than a 1, I would do so. Fortunately, we drove to a nearby town and found a nicer motel that rented to us for the same price. We will most certainly not ever try staying at the Tillicum Inn again. ...read more

Clean.

I arrived at midnight to a note that said to ring for reception. The bell didn't work. After 15 minutes we knocked on the manager apartment windows and an annoyed receptionist came out. I said that
we have been ringing for 15 minutes. Her response was that we have not and did we want to leave. We stayed in a clean room with mattresses so worn out. Hard that they were painful to sleep on. ...read more

Nothing.
They wouldn't even let my pet into the lobby to register.

The woman was very unpleasant. She couldn't find my reservation. It was 95 degrees outside and she wouldn't even let me into the lobby to register with my 5 lb. pet chihuahua. I waited 20 minutes in the car with the air conditioner. The room was horrible & smelly, I didn't stay and I am going to dispute the 1 night charge!
