Hotel Guest Reviews of the Three Chimneys Inn

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The included breakfast was very, very good. Real food in a charming atmosphere w/fine service.
My fault in thinking (and not reading) that pet-friendly meant no fee--watch the $25 charge. No ice machine in building--had to go to separate facility and ask. My take away is that this is not an owner-operated hotel--bit impersonal.

I did not wish to stay in yet another cookie-cutter chain hotel so I chose Three Chimneys though not a big fan of B & B-type lodging. The DYI designing here is fairly tasteful & 'homey'.

Friendly, helpful, and courteous staff - wonderful people!
Very "dated" feel, room decore and furnishings were marginal, very loud. Didn't feel "historic"...just "old".

The staff was superb, friendly, extremely helpful. They made us feel like treasured guests even though we were there only for one night. The room was beautifully furnished with a spectacular draped bed. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.
Absolutely nothing, and I am pretty picky. Every single thing was excellent.

Exquisite historic inn with all the mod cons cleverly concealed so as to maximize the historic feel. Lovely rooms, even lovelier staff and superb restaurant. Highly recommend it and can't wait to find an excuse to return.

Delightful ambiance and help that could not be more accomodating or helpful. Wonderful.

The Three Chimney's inn is an antique bed and breakfast situated on the Oyster River in Durham, NH. It's a short walk to the UNH campus, and about a fifteen minute drive to Portsmouth, NH. Although we arrived right after a major thunder/wind storm which resulted in a town-wide power failure, the staff was engaging and calm. With no electricity, the restaurant on site could not serve dinner, but the staff volunteered to contact area restaurants to confirm if they had power. We headed to Portsmouth where the lights were on. Our room was comfortable, featuring a beautiful four poster, and the buffet breakfast included some of the best French toast we've eaten. Make sure to take a walk through the gardens and down by the river. It's lovely. ...read more
