Hotel Guest Reviews of the Thompson Toronto

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Localisation loin de tout, personnel snob, tres, tres bruyant. Réveillée à 2 h du matin par des clients agressifs qui parlaient fort dans le corridor et claquaient les portes de chambres. Clientele métro sexuelle...

The staff were really friendly and helpful. I was traveling with a small child and the staff went out of their way to offer assistance. The beds wwere clean and comfortable.
The room looked abit worn out. There wasn't a bath tub for bathing the child however the shower and heated floors were nice.

It's a very modern hotel and great location
I did not like that even on Sunday's they have roof top club open and music from my room was way too loud I couldn't sleep

I would love if they had advised us on noise

The room was ok.
We did not like the location, the bed, and the Bad sewage smell in the elevators. The Staff was not rude but not real friendly...I think they may be too cool to be friendly at the Thompson. Not recommended.

Great location, ice rooftop pool area
Pool furnishings are stained and tired. Poor lighting in public areas.

Nice spacious room. The downstairs Thompson Diner is excellent and 24 hours. The rooftop pool has great views of the city. Staff are helpful. The croissants at Colette's are yummy. King streetcar nearby for transport.
The elevators are packed and slow to arrive (minor)

I like the location, and the staff is very friendly.
It just seems too dark, and the faux hardwood ceramic floors seems a little dirty. Some of furnishings and finishings seem a little rundown.

I get what they're trying to do, with the ultra modern 'chic' thing, but eventually it becomes a battle between 'function' and 'style'. Here are some examples: - the ultra chic furniture looks sleek, but are they comfortable? Depends on who you ask. - the nice bathroom pocket doors replaces door hangers, so really nowhere to hang towels (at least in my room). - love the rain showerhead, but there is no enclosure, so the glass wall only covers half the bath space, so water can splash outside while you shower. - the flat bathroom sink is nice, but it takes too much real estate that you'll have park your personal stuff at the periphery. - the ceramic 'fake hardwood' floors can be a little tacky. Looks nice and sleek, but dirt easily shows, it's cold to the feet. - no ice machines on each floor, so you'll have to order room service for ice. Whoa!? Overall, not a bad stay--but not an excellent one either. The 'ultra chic-sleek' look may appeal to the exclusive 'wanna-be' party crowds, but not necessarily for families or practical travelers. Too dark and in some areas, a little dirty. ...read more
