Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Willows Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The staff, location, and breakfast offerings were great.
Rooms did not provide much of a sound barrier - heard ever word of the people talking in the next room.

We really like the hotel, largely because of the staff and location, but next time we stay we'll bring a portable white noise machine.

Location, friendly staff and value.
The building is older so you hear little creaks here or there, but it's not a b if issue.

The staff was very friendly, attentive, especially John at the front desk. Very pleasant stay.

Location, old hotel with lots of character, nice breakfast supplied.
Nothing.

Small comfortable clean hotel in a bustling neighborhood in Lakeview / Lincoln Park. Room was large and clean and made for a great sleep.

Cozy and intimate and lovely--great neighborhood, staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Honor bar prices are extremely reasonable, with lots of variety of drinks and snacks. Very affordable luxury in the heart of Chicago.
While it did not affect our stay in particular, it should be noted that due to it being an historic building, the bathrooms were pretty small, with a shower stall only (no tub). May be worth inquiring if they have rooms w/tubs if that's important to you.

Great value for the quality of this hotel--our double queen room was spacious, and the stay included free continental breakfast and coffee & fruit 24/7. Historic building, with romantic décor. Plenty of restaurants and conveniences located nearby, including a Wal-Mart. We will definitely be staying here again!

Friendly and very helpful staff. Clean. Quiet. Close to the business I had to work with. Reasonable cost. Pleasant location
Difficult to juggle food and beverage from the continental breakfast while sitting in a comfy lounge chair and having only a small lamp table on which to set the food. No big deal.

The staff was very attentive and respectful. The room was spacious and a great deal for the price I paid. I would definitely stay here again. Also, the 4PM cookie hour and 24-7 unlimited coffee and tea are nice touches. Location-wise, it was also perfect.
The heating in the room was a little weak, but other than that small thing, it was great.

Chicago doesn't have a lot of great hotels outside the Loop. This is a hidden gem that should be appreciated for its location, its value, and its simplicity. The Willows Hotel isn't fancy, but it is everything you need in a vacation base of operations.
