Hotel Guest Reviews of the The White House Inn

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Cool little B&B just a few blocks from the attractions of Cooperstown, one of those Federal-Victorian upstate NY towns. Great fireplaced sitting room, comfy suite, community breakfast of local favorites.
Just an FYI, many of the local attractions are closed in the winter, so make sure you can get in to whatever it is you want to see. Baseball HOF was only public venue open when we went in Feb. No reflection on the B&B, though.

Look, if you want a lavish hotel room, look elsewhere, but if you like the B&B experience this is a classic. We had a first-floor queen "suite" with a separate sitting room w/TV. Except for the silly-high bed that's all the rage right now, everything was very comfortable and had that feeling you were visiting your aunt's house in the country. We had a nice evening by the fireplace on a cold winter night, and in the morning coffee was waiting while we got ready for a breakfast around the table with the other guests. They prepared local-inspired breakfast with a sort of baked "french toast" and NY maple syrup and some terrific bacon. If you're a baseball fan (I'm not that into it), you are a short walk from the HOF, but even if you're not this is a picturesque village on a lovely lake and lots of historic interest. I'd go back anytime. ...read more
