Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Quincy- A Modus Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. Without exception, from the front desk staff through to the cleaning staff, everyone greeted us and offered to assist with any needs.
It was beyond the control of the hotel but the alley behind the building was noisy. Trucks collecting metal garbage bins at 4am each day were very loud and took awhile to complete their task. It woke us every morning.

The rooms are large, and were kept very clean. The fridge was a nice touch as was the fruit and drinks in the lobby. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we found the hotel perfectly located for accessing our meetings (10 min walk), the monuments (15 min walk) and Georgetown (15 min walk). There is a pub attached to the hotel which made happy hour convenient. There are many restaurants in the near vicinity as well as shopping and services such as banks. The price was reasonable. I would stay there again. ...read more

Everyone is so friendly! They run to open the door for you, everyone smiles and genuinely seem happy to have you as a guest.
No.

This is the place to stay if you want to a clean spacious room to call home for awhile and rest your weary feet after a day of sightseeing. The location is perfect for walking - close to White House, Mall and Dupont Circle - and within a couple of blocks of all Metro lines. Taxi to Mall just around $10.00. There are plenty of eateries within a 2 block radius, from take out to high end - and a pub/restaurant attached to hotel. Can't imagine staying anywhere else when we visit again! ...read more

The location was in walking distance of many attractions. They staff was super friendly.
The choices for dining were limited and not so family friendly.

The hotel had a boutique feel and the staff was very friendly. We were only there to sleep, as we were out and about all day and night. The carpeting in our room was damaged and bubbling and the view was gross (2nd floor dumpster view). Other than that the accommodations were completely fine and we would stay there again. We had a child under 11 so dining in the area was a challenge. Not many family friendly options other than Starbucks and The Corner Bakery. ...read more

I paid for a king room got queen Telephone reported not working on day of arrival nothing done until day before leaving after I discussed it with them again. Was not able to keep contact with anyone as I do not use a cell See comment below

Asked for wak-up local at 1:30am. Was assured there would be no problem. Never happened. I awoke at 2:00 . Requested taxi, had to wait some time before phone was answered, asked for rush, and I would be downstairs, no need to call me. Got dressed and down at desk where the person at desk was just calling for the taxi. I am sure, this person had been asleep on the lobby couch with the phone beside him. As you probably realize by now I am not at all happy with my experience at the Quincy. No to be completely negative, the one good point, other than location...probably the best towels I have had in a hotel. Annabelle Muzerall ...read more

The staff was incredibly accommodating, friendly and helpful. The room was recently updated with flat screen tvs, a Keurig coffeemaker and had small extras like makeup removing face wipes, cotton balls and q tips. This hotel couldn't have been any better!
Nothing

Very close to 2 metro stations. In a nice, safe neighborhood near everything in DC. Several nice restaurants and cages on the street and lots of shopping. They even had board games in the lobby to use.

Priceline staff were unhelpful and dishonest.

beautiful room, super nice and responsive staff
The shower- hot water didn't last through 2 showers. Trash pick up is Loud & in the wee hours - the beeping of the truck woke us up.The parking is valet when you are dropping off and self serve when picking up.So you have to search for the car- odd.

Despite the negatives, I liked the hotel. The room ,the staff and the location were the overriding drivers. Ask for a room away from the noise and oneproblem is solved.
