Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Porto Vista Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Close to great restaurants in Little Italy
The bead and pillows were lumpy, the heater didn't work, the fixtures were old. It's called a hotel but it's really an inn that was enclosed; the inside was still exposed to outside

Forced valet parking ($25 p/night) - At least on parking attendant had an attitude I did not need after a long drive - and I did not trust him with my car

Nice location, except for the construction everywhere.
Even though I was prepaid, Hotel employee put $567 on my credit card which set off a series of negative events. Then in an attempt to correct the error, another $200 was put on my card!

The location in San Diego was very central and convenient.

The location was good, close to the hotel and central in Little Italy. Room was cleaned everyday and reception staff were friendly and helpful.
Windows were very thin so could hear all noise outside - a lot of building work taking place on the roadside so this was disturbing. Wi-fi was absolutely terrible - this needs to be changed in order to improve customer experience.
