Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Mansfield Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Decent hotel but far from a 4star
I was expecting a 4star hotel with 4star amenities but what I received was 3star with 3star amenities.

The size of the room and the price of the "free internet" in the room.

Great location! Close enough to theater and Times Square. No street noise from the three rooms I rented. The staff held our bags while we shopped. They were very courteous. Lemon water and warm cookies in lobby. Coffee all day and night in the library .
Two of the rooms had a regular size nice bathroom. The one I stayed in had the tiniest bathroom. You could practically take a shower while sitting on toilet. Clean and nice though.

The location of The Mansfield is perfect, just one block from the elegance and excitement of Fifth Avenue, plus an easy walk to Times Square, but without the craziness of the crowds. When you walk in, you feel a calm and friendly welcome.
Nothing, I loved it!

The hotel staff went above and beyond to assist me with a difficult problem I had with ANOTHER hotel reservation problem. The staff is professional and efficient, yet kind individuals (not rote-spewing robots), for whose help I will be forever grateful. The Mansfield staff is amazing, thank you!

Not much, it's not a 4 star experience...small cramped...service was mediocre...
Room was a shoe box...couldn't barely move...window a/c was loud.. Kept me up at night...to warm in the room if it was off...

There is no way this is a 4 star hotel...

Good location near Grand Central. Old charming hotel. Cute library room with espresso machine. Chic lobby bar. They have a deal for parking, $22 overnight is a great rate in mid-town.
Old and in need of a re-do. Have to pay $15 for very spotty wifi.

Cute and romantic. Very small rooms. Wooden floors in room are attractive feature, but they creak. Not a 4-star hotel.

A very select few of the staff. The hotel has great character about it, but it is completely obscured by the lack of cleanliness and the state of disrepair.
There was no one to greet us at the door as we hauled our luggage up the steps, the 'club room' is dust laden and filled with ripped and tattered furniture, the hallways cluttered with trash. Definitely not star worthy!

Our room was a tiny space really meant for one person. The sink, which did not drain, was in the room. Not much privacy. The toilet and shower were separated with a slide door. I have more room on my boat bath! But, after a transatlantic flight, I was too tired to fight it, and our traveling companions room was not ready, so we went with it. The room was quiet. The sheets were soft. The bed was comfortable. The location is great. The "club room" is creepy, dirty and in disrepair. The coffee maker is great when it works. If it does not, only certain staff members know how to clean it and make it work again!! Half the staff are 5 star, the other half are 1 star. We used the restaurant for breakfast. The service was horrid, the food was good. ...read more

The elevators were old looking and dark. And the room was smaller than I would have liked.
