Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Mansfield Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Charming old hotel with nice bar and library rooms.
Room was very tiny and uncomfortably warm, with no thermostat.

I loved the location. The room was nice and clean. Staff were helpful. The hotel bar/restaurant had good food.
In the room, the radiator was very loud. Loud sounds of water running/pumping. Outside our window there was construction.

The location of the hotel was perfect. Midtown close to many major attractions. Also the public spaces of the hotel were very nice. The lounge/study with great coffee and the attached bar.
The room was not what I was expecting. It was clean and the bathroom was nice. However extremely small, virtually no windows or natural light. Felt like a well decorated prison room. Given the high ranking, I was expecting a better room.

Outside of the room, some of the hotel staff were not the friendliest. I'm refering to a about 20%, the rest were extremely nice & helpful. But when you're already a little turned off by your room, that 20% makes a difference.

Location is good.
The room was tiny and old. The elevator was tiny and smelled like urine. Free wifi had to be requested. Actually, it cost 15 cents / day. No clue how this could be considered 4 stars.

Every staff member was very friendly and helpful. Very comfortable beds, nice room and bathroom, although both were on the small side. Great location.
No complaints!

location is right in midtown near my office
the rooms are small, cramped, with window A/C units in the windows. Speaking of windows they have no locks on them. The room therefore feels unsafe. Overal it feels like staying in the haunted hotel at Disney World. How this is 4 stars I have no idea.

The staff was very friendly and the location was great. The library was cozy and had a cappuccino machine. The bar was nice.
The room was small and there were no controls for the heating system.

Great little hotel with an old world feel. Good mix of modern amenities and classic design. Staff was Excellent!
Heat needed to be controlled by the staff, no in-room thermostat, but they promptly responded to the request to cool down the room.

Staff was great. Upon a later arrival the front desk/concierge found us a great little Italian restaurant around the corner that was still open and could take us.
