Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Grosvenor

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The location and the chief bellman.
The management is arrogant. They don't answer the front desk phone -- it simply rings endlessly. They don't appear to respect their customers.

Arrogant and poorly trained management. They are in it for the profit and not for repeat business or service.

the hotel was very clean & regal. beds were very comfortable. food was outstanding. friendly staff.
I did not like that it was right next to the train station, and underground. my moms purse got stolen across the street. must be careful of pick pocketers.

The hotel itself is beautiful inside and out. Very Clean & friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Very good food. Would definitely stay here again. anytime you travel you have to be careful of your belongings. the outstanding level of the hotel trumps the location of it being next to a train station and underground. would definetly stay here again!

Great location. Nice room. Staff friendly & helpful.
It does have several twists & turns & steps to get to various rooms but we feel those things add to the "old" charm. Would like to have ice more readily available rather than having to wait to get it from staff.

The room was old and out dated with no air conditioning.

This hotel is wildly overpriced. Even considering the location and the dollar to pound conversion; the bathroom fixtures were grungy and outdated and the room was not air-conditioned and the window was locked in a fashion that only allowed it to be open about 4 inches.

Convenience of location.
Small cramped room.

This hotel is ideally located. A short walk from Buckingham Palace and situated right above Victoria Station, the hotel is easily accessed from trains, buses and metro to anywhere else in London and the airports. However, the hotel was cobbled with another building at some point, and I'm sure some of the rooms in the original building are very lovely, but the rooms in extended building are cramped and have very little charm. more

Location was very good.
It was small which was not an issue but it was so in need of renovating.

If you want to go to the dark side of some place, this is it. We walked into a spectacular lobby and were assigned rooms on the 5th floor in an annex. We had to take the elevator to the fourth floor and then had to walk to an annex and go up to another floor which was in the annex of the hotel. Disgusting, tired, torn curtains, dark and dingy bathroom with loose tiles and broken furniture and window no
AC. Did not know that. Would not recommend this hotel at 3 stars unless you want to be on the dark side of the world. Expensive breakfast and internet. more

Convenient location to all attractions! It's also connected to a train/underground station so travel is simple.
Only one of two elevators went to our floor.

During our stay it was terribly hot in London but the Thistle Victoria, unlike many hotels, offers air-conditioned rooms. In addition, our room was spacious, the bathroom offered plenty of hot water, and the lobby was elegant and peaceful. The hotel is also in an extremely convenient location as it is attached to Victoria Station, so travel by train or tube was quick and simple although one could easily walk to many attractions. I would definitely recommend to a friend or family member! One of the best hotel stays I've had. more
