Hotel Guest Reviews of the Sentinel, A Provenance Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Location next to the Pearl, Powell's Bookstore, & nice walk to Northwest Portland shopping & Jake's Grill was hard to beat. The old school charm with famous athlete black & white photos was classic & edgy. My daughter and I had a great time!

Unique, historical
Not a 4 star as advertized. Beds are uncomfortable. Rooms small...very smallest. I am not sure I would recommend to anyone expecting 4 stars, but has charm.

It's not practical for the location but it would have been nice to have onsite parking. (They have very nice valet folks, but if you want to come and go, having to wait for the car every time is annoying.)

Loved everything about our stay. Hotel was immaculate, room was incredible, and service was above and beyond. The bottle of wine and "thank you" card for celebrating our anniversary there was unexpected and very much appreciated.

The location was fantastic. Plenty to do all around the hotel and it is central to everything including public transit.

This combines some old world charm, hipster and a decent amount of luxury to create a solid experience.

The renovations to the Sentinel are stellar. Everything is incredibly comfy and feels high-quality without seeming too fancy or stuffy. The hotel is a quick walk to Powell's, food carts, and just about everything else people like to visit in PDX.
A shuttle to the airport might be a nice addition to the services the hotel offers, but the staff are knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to getting you from point A to point B.

Beautiful old building that's been nicely restored and a great location with easy access to the Pearl District and Downtown. Room was clean and the staff friendly.
Rooms are average sized with no useful amenities beyond what you would get in a much cheaper hotel. The attached bar in the lobby turns into a trendy club cranking bad, generic hip hop music on the weekends. $39 for valet parking was the final insult.

Good location. Walking distance to much of what we wanted to see and many good restaurants in the area. Big room with high ceilings and nice furnishings
A small thing: Put half-n-half in refrigerator vs using Coffeemate - that's a bit cheap for a hotel like this.
