Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Driskill

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful food. Beautifully maintained, historic hotel.
The Curio Room we had was unbelievably small and next to the elevator. Will be sure to request a better room/room location next time.

Loved the architecture and the history of the hotel. They provided literature on the hauntings & history. Location is also good; we walked to the Capitol easily. Business center was available.
Not a lot worth mentioning on dislikes about the hotel.

The Driskill is an old & historic hotel. Just walking in the lobby you can feel and see the history. The architecture & ambience of the hotel is like no other I've experienced. The hotel lounge area is dimly lit with a 2 horse statue in the center. (the plaque underneath is worth the read). Apparently, hauntings are also part of the hotel; but that makes it even more unique. The staff has literature available for those interested in the history of Mr. Driskill, the hotel, and hauntings. Coffee is available free of charge just to the right of the reception/ front desk in the mornings. A Business center is also available with two desktops who share a printer & a fitness center/ gym is available but we didn't visit it. The hotel is walking distance to the Capitol, however, we had to drive to the restaurant in the evening (which we decided would be Clay Pit; an Indian restaurant, the restaurant was great, by the way. ...read more
