Welcome to the Surf Inn
Free Wi-Fi and a Highway 1 location overlooking the ocean are why Priceline guests ride into the non-smoking Surf Inn.
The Surf Inn has 20 non-smoking rooms in a one-floor building surrounded by wildflowers. Rooms are decked out with coffeemakers, microwaves, mini-fridges, iPod docks, flat-panel LCD TVs and DVD players. Some rooms have fireplaces, ocean views and/or full kitchens. Rest up for surfing on the thick mattress and down duvet. Sit in an Adirondack chair on the bluff and see the sun set over the Pacific.
Perched on the bluffs at the starting point of the Gualala Bluff Trail, the Surf Inn is on Highway 1 across the water from the Gualala Point County Park. The beach is about a two-mile drive away. It's one-and-a-half miles to the Sea Ranch Golf Links. Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport is 66 miles away in Santa Rosa.
Priceline guests thrill to the "fantastic breakfast" at the Surf Inn, a "good value in the area" with a location "near the water," plus "good beach views."

Hotel Guest Reviews of the Surf InnOur hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Great place in a great place.

Our room was smaller than anticipated but was still nice and cozy! Staff was friendly and helpful. Loved the location and the atmosphere of the hotel was very low keyed and relaxing. Only real drawback was there was no way to access the beach. It was/is a temporary problem not associated with the hotel.

The interior has a sort of Victorian appeal- decor a little on the outdated side but very clean. Staff was very friendly and warm and other visitors were also very "homey." I wish that there would have been a more direct line to protect us from the rain, but it was a pleasant stay.

The price was way too much for the room we had. The room was very small, and the beds were lumpy. A person can barely turn around in the bathroom. Too bad, because the gentleman in the check in room was very nice, only doing his job.

Not horrible but I would explore other lodging if I were going to stay in Gualala again.

It's a cute little hotel my husband and I loved it and are planning to visit again.

The hotel was charming and had great views in the public areas and even from our room that wasn't considered having a view. The beds were very comfortable! Everything was clean . breakfast was good. Loved the place and would recommend anyone to stay there ! Hoping to go back again myself someday!

Overall the location on the coast of the hotel and it's location in Gualala were ideal, the outdoor accommodations i.e., outdoor furniture to view the ocean from were broken and in bad need of replacement. It's too bad the owners have not taken advantage of their location and add/repair an outdoor area for their guests. This would greatly enhance the hotel and the recommendations to future guests. I guess some can't see the forest because the forest is blocking the view. ...
