It had a nice size fridge and microwave.
the added fees that brought the price up $12!

It is tricky to find in the dark and the GPS will lead you to a corn field. I had to call and be talked in.

The person who I guess was the manager was very helpful and nice.
Nothing about the hotel. I had booked two rooms but only needed one and had cancelled the other room a week ahead of our stay. When we got to the hotel he said they were both cancelled. But he did some checking and out us a room.

Heavy smoke smell, even in corridors leading to non-smoking rooms. Had to block bottom of our room door in attempt to block smoke smells.

Wish they enforced no smoking policies in non-smoking rooms.

It was nice and quiet for sleeping, no highway noise or ventilation fans going all night. The room was very clean and the bed very comfy.
Not really, a little difficult to locate, could use better signs from the interstate.

The man at the front desk was very helpful and friendly, turned us on to a really good restaurant in town.

I liked the customer service the best. They were all very welcoming and attentive to me.
The only thing that was a draw back was that both of the lights on either side of the bed did not work.

I had to make a reservation at the last minute for this trip and needed to find an economically priced hotel and I had seen that Super 8 Hotel built years ago and remembered it was there but had not stayed there before. I was happy to find out that it was in good condition and very clean. The customer service was great and the bed was comfortable and I slept very well on it. Good sleep was critical for me as my time was filled to the max during my stay so I needed to sleep well at night so I could be sharp for my conference on those days. It was quiet on my floor so no issues with noise. Also, it was located close enough to Sycamore, IL. so I could get back and forth easily to the conference site. It was a lot cleaner than I expected from reading some of the comments. They should check the bathroom walls, they could have been wiped down. It was all very minor. I'm a supervisor for a cleaning company and I notice things like that.

I will never be booking a hotel through priceline.com again. We had the WORST hotel experience ever and were told by Super8 that they could not refund us any money because we paid through a 3rd party vendor yourself. We got to our room, turned down the sheeets and there were 8 long black hairs on the pillow and sheets. The bed sheets were obviously not changed. We called the front desk and asked them to bring us new sheets. My husband and I then had to remake the bed. They also did not have a fitted sheet for the bottom, they just gave us two regualar sheets. The sheets that they brought us were so soiled and stained, they were digusting. The heater barely worked, our room was freezing. My husband and I had to sleep in our winter jackets just to stay warm. The next morning I went to the front deskk to explain our horrible experience. The hotel manager never once apologized. He basically said since we booked through a 3rd party vendor that we could not get any kind of refund or discount. Being that we came to town for a funeral, I was not in the mood to continue to debate with him. I will however never purchase anyting through priceline.com and will be telling my friends our story and urging them to not purchase through a 3rd party vendor as well. If there is antying that you could do, as far as a refund that woud be wonderful. That I realized that I Holiday Inn's and Hampton's better and should stick to what I know.
The staff, the parking lot lighting, the guests.

I never really felt safe. Hotel is by I88, not lit well, nothing around it. I did not feel personally safe and I did not feel my car would have been safe also. Dekalb is a nice town, just this hotel way off in the distance is a little too much. Since I did not feel safe I did not even go it. Priceline.com would not refund my money.
