It was a place to stay that was clean but dated and lacked extra room.

I wasn't expecting much of any place going to the coast--There aren't many good places to stay unless one pays a pretty high dollar. For
XXX I got what I expected, although it would have been more of a vacation had the accommodations been nicer. We were just getting our child to school, so we were just looking for a decent place to stay for a couple of days. We probably won't stay here again--at least not for a real "vacation". ...

Over all this hotel met my expectations for the star rating. I was disappointed with the breakfast. But I will stay their again and pack my own food

Avoid this place if you intend to get some sleep. It is physically located at the narrowest point between the one way arms of the busy state highway it fronts. Actually it "middles", so guests get the noise of traffic on the front and the back, since the highway is 4 lane, with two lanes going one direction, and two the other, with the motel in between. As a guest, we were in the same position as a "Jersey barrier" that divides a busy state highway. There is no air conditioning, leaving a guest the option of opening the window in front of the abutting walkway access of all guests to their rooms, or suffering from excess heat. We did not want others looking into our room from 12 inches away, so we chose to keep the window shut. Even with the window shut, there was way too much highway noise from both front and back. We went sleepless in Coos Bay. The breakfast was conducted in a room dedicated to that purpose. The rooms are quite small, and with the motel only one third full, there was too many other guests to approach the food. Nothing special about commercially prepared pastries and cold cereal, so my advice is to skip the breakfast, and drive off to a rest stop so you can get some sleep in your car. The average rest stop is less noisy, and most folks have air conditioners in their car. The price for this unit was modest, around
xxx per night. I would not stay there again if they paid me treble the cost. If this motel is a 2 star motel, a one star must be really scarry. ...
