Hotel Guest Reviews of the Sunset Tower Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

It was clean and easy to locate.
Staff were very snobbish and the rooms are smaller than pictured.

It was your average 4 star hotel, but did not compare to the other hotels we had stayed at on our trip, all of which were of the same price range or rating. Staff weren't friendly, except for the lovely man who works at the pool.

The room was small.
I liked the pool, but everything was reserved for someone who never showed.

The staff seemed to get along with each other rather nicely. Everyone was so nice looking, must be Hollywood.

I liked the friendly service. The bed was comfortable and the soft pillows! The view was beautiful, too.
The small elevators, but I know that can't be helped, since it's a historic hotel.

Service was exceptional, location was perfect.
Much smaller rooms than expected, very dark in public areas except Terrace/pool areas.

This hotel is not listed as a historical property but could be; the hotel has a ton of style.
The only thing is the price even with the deal I got, it was still pricey for week day.

The Sunset Tower sits in one of the best locations on Sunset Blvd. No matter which direction you face, you have a great view of something, the hills, downtown, or the ocean. The hotel has a very colorful past which makes it a fun place to stay while in Los Angeles. It started as an apartment house, and have had several incarnations as different hotels. The building itself is an excellent example to Art Deco architecture. The lobby is tastefully decorated as well are the other common areas of the hotel. The stair well which rises through the center of the hotel adds to the hotels style; the hotel has three elevators, but it was nice to be able to take the stairs as you need to drive most places in Los Angeles. ...read more

nice renovation, Art Deco touches. Great food, but restaurant deco rather lackluster, no visible style.
Noisy street, especially late night motorcylcles. Valet-only parking, albeit speedy and friendly.
