Welcome to the Southern California Beach Club
Recent renovations, self-catering condos, a hot tub and perch right across from the beach are a few of the primo perks Priceline guests get at the non-smoking Southern California Beach Club.
Palm trees and Mediterranean arches welcome guests to the three-story, stucco Beach Club, whose 43 non-smoking studio, one- and two-bedroom condos include mini-kitchens, sofa beds, dishwashers, hairdryers, microwaves, dining areas and private patios or balconies; some rooms offer beach views. The resort has a picnic area with barbecue grills, bike rentals, seasonal children's programs, a rooftop sun deck and hot tub on-site. Adults can buckle down in the business center if needed, while the kids hit the game room. If you're on an extended vacation, keep your duds clean at the guest laundry. The hotel charges a nightly taxable resort fee (charged per person) that includes parking, unlimited Wi-Fi access and HBO. Note: The hotel will undergo flooring renovations during business hours until February 19, 2014.
Located next to the Oceanside Pier directly across from the ocean, the Southern California Beach Club is five blocks from the California Surf Museum and six blocks from the Coaster commuter train with service to San Diego. Drive three miles to shop and dine in Carlsbad Village. It's less than 10 minutes to the south end of Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base. It's a 15-minute trip to the Carlsbad Premium Outlets, Legoland and the Flower Fields. McClellan-Palomar Airport is 10 miles away. San Diego International Airport is 39 miles south.
Priceline guests like the Southern California Beach Club's "central location" that's "right on the beach" as well as the easy access to town.

Upon checking out we felt the stay was very good. Secure parking worked. Walking to pier area pleasant. Ultimately the staff stepped up and made our stay nice. It's 'beachy'....casual.

The bed and pillows were so soft, I felt like a queen! I want that bed at home! Beautiful room, comfy furniture, everything you need is there. Our view on the second floor balcony was so nice and close to the beach we didn't want to leave our room, we felt like we were already on the beach. The Oceanside Pier is next to the hotel, with a reasonably priced restaurant at the end. We also rented bicycles for cheap and rode all over the beach and marina. There is a restaurant under the pier called The Tin Fish with delicious fish sandwiches, tacos, fish sticks, ice cream, very good food, all within walking distance. Also the hotel is near lots of nice shops and restaurants downtown, plus the Amtrak station is right behind it, if someone without a car wants to come join you. We loved it so much, we decided to stay an extra night! We didn't want to leave! We will definitely come back! I don't even think we turned on the tv! ...
