Hotel Guest Reviews of the Sleep Inn & Suites Ft. Lauderdale Intl Airport

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The location was pretty much the only good thing about this hotel.
The smell was horrible - I have to wash everything in my suitcase even if it wasn't worn just to get the smell out. The water would not get hot, just lukewarm. There were suspicious stains on the bedding and the TV in my room didn't work.

I checked in at 5pm on a Saturday afternoon in the high season for the area. I was told that I would have to wait for my room because they were renovating and the carpet was being installed in my room. I had to sit there an hour, exhausted from traveling, before my room was ready. I feel there was a serious lack of customer focus when management decided to renovate rooms on the busiest day of the busiest month of the year. Just being offered a drink might have made me feel better but all I got was a sorry and a shrug. ...read more

I liked the location, the service,
Parking was very crowded. We had to pay extra to get a room that was non smoking. The would not change are room unless we paid them an extra 60 dollars for the four night stay. The smoking rooms were very smelly.

The hotel staff (I think he was the manager) was very friendly and accomodating. He let us check in early, told us about the area as far as food, etc and let us check out late. Shuttle service was awesome too. We would definitely stay there again!
The pool could have used a little more cleaning.

The room was clean and comfortable. There was a pool and hot tub with little geckos peeking at us from the bushes! There was a laundry room which was super convenient. There was also a small business office complete with an honor system printer (25 cents per page). There was a complimentary breakfast in the morning (waffles, toast, cereal, oatmeal, eggs, sausage, etc.). The staff are very friendly and made our stay very enjoyable. The shuttle driver is very friendly and he's never seen snow! Poor guy! ...read more

Location. Close to the airport and close to town. Perfect walking distance to stores like Publix and Walgreens also near bus stop
Problems with check in. Upon check in they were charging me about $20 more than the price I reserved at. Took about an hour to correct price but things got somewhat better afterwards

Besides the difference in price I was being charged at check in I was also issued a room that was already occupied so when I went back to the front desk I was told it was error on their part and gave me the correct unoccupied room. Also that night I found a couple roaches so I had to knock cleanliness a bit but these in my view were just small inconveniences in my overall trip. Would consider staying again if I couldn't stay elsewhere in the area ...read more

When we arrived at our room my son had to use the restroom. Upon entered we found ants everywhere. When we further inspected the room there was ants on the windowsill and stains on the bed. would not recommend this hotel

Located close to airport.
A bit difficult because Broward County had a "boil water" alert. There were signs everywhere to alert us, but lots of bottled water being handed out would have been appropriate.

This hotel is comparable to a Motel 6 or Super 8. We were pleasantly surprised, and pleased with the accomodations.
