Hotel Guest Reviews of the Shorebreak Hotel, A Joie De Vivre Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. The location and restaurant staff were outstanding, but the actual hotel staff were a bit arrogant and acted as if they were doing you the favor.
The actual hotel staff were a bit arrogant and acted as if they were doing you the favor. They also arranged a cab to airport that was supposed to be a $90 flat rate but the cab driver charged $120 (at the airport) - I had a few other hotel staff 'misses'

Again location and restaurant staff were great but actual hotel staff need training and management oversight or it is a 2 1/2 3 star hotel max.

Location was great. The overall hotel is under staffed and over priced for its services. There is two elevators to take to get to the rooms. The guest check in staff, will also be your bell hop. (so don't be in a hurry when you get there)
This hotel is not for people that like frist class service. If you stay at other business class profesional hotels you will be disapointed. If you live on Daddy's credit card and compete with your friends on how much $ you can waste, its perfect!

The location and proximity to the beach. Parking valet.
The platform bed was too large for the room and had sharp corners, which I bumped into several times.

Would stay there again. Friendly service and good location. Good bedding, toiletries, excellent mattress. I did feel rushed out on departure, having told the front desk that I would be about 30 mins. past check-out. Rec'd a phone call and room check to see if I had vacated.

Walking distance to stores, restaurants, nightlife, and beach.
Nothing Hotel is Great!! DO NOT PARK IN PUBLIC PARKING OVERNIGHT$$. USE HOTEL VALET!! The hotel has a valet that is set up on a text system to get you car it was great!!

The Deco and friendliness of the staff was above average. The hotel couldn't be better located. They have Happy HOUR and an outdoor fire pit to relax by.

This was definitely not a 4 star hotel. Nor a 3.5. This was a 3 star at best. Location alone does not make a star level, especially when compared to other hotels in exact same area. This would be a 2.5 to 3 star.

The common deck area and the hardwood floors in the lobby
I was expecting much more for xxx/night. I thought it was going to be much more upscale, but the hotel was very casual and the staff was too casual to get things accomplished until it was an emergency.

I won't be going back again. We would stay at the Hilton or Hyatt before the Shorebreak.
