Hotel Guest Reviews of the Sheraton Universal

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The proximity to universal studios was great and the shuttle service there was very convenient.
The bathroom was extremely small and outdated. You can barely fit two people in there at one time. The drain in the bathtub was so slow, we thought it was clogged. The mattress was old and you could feel all the springs, didn't have a great night.

Pool area is undergoing renovation so you would have to use the Hinton's pool next door.

Close to universal studios and a free shuttle
Couldn't hold accommodation made a month in advance. Styx was a little rude I was hung up on quite a few times. They really do not like priceline customers or anyone who books through a third party.

Priceline is great for getting a good deal but the hotels for the most part priceline travelers differently. Like they are lower class. They couldn't accomodate a simple request made a month in advance. We simply requestes a room with two beds Instead of one. A request all hotels prior have had no problem fulfilling. But this specific hotel has a huge problem with third party guests ...read more

Location was key.
The rooms and the elevator

1) the hotel is so noisy. Every door slams and the entire hall shakes with the noise. The room walls are very thin, so you hear everything going on in the room next to you 2) elevator. There are only 3 elevators in the hotel, so we waiting 10-15 minutes in a line of people to get on. We tried to find the stairs, and the only ones went outside, so we had to go back and wait in the line Overall - the Hilton up the street is a better hotel in the area ...read more

The view and free Shuttle to Universal City.
The Room was not cleaned before our check in!!!The sheets were filthy and there was no Pool within the Hotel. There was no mention of this before my booking. They provided a pool at the hotel next store but I don't feel that was convenient to me.

There also was a charge for us parking at the hotel even for us staying at there Hotel for 5 nights you would think it would be free and the coffee in the lobby assessable to everyone.you would think it be complementary to Their guest at least. On our arrival I wish they could of provided us with whats around stores attractions amenities ect upon Check IN. On a good note I did like the view and the size of the bed/Room.and they cleaned the room every day.Plus the Free Shuttle to Universal City. ...read more

It was located in an area that had great access to many tourist attractions. All of the staff were genuinely kind.
We were never offered a parking pass when we registered and had to pay each time we left the lot. Our room was unvaccumed, the toilet was dirty, there was only one wash cloth in the bathroom and no drinking cups, the ventilation system made a loud noisy

We stood and waited at the bar for several minutes and the bartender was talking to another employee and had her back to us so she was unaware we were there. She did call our room later to personally apologize and was made aware, by the desk staff that we already had made them aware of multiple problems. There were cookie-like crumbs by the coffee pot, on the coffee table and in a dark brown chair ( clearly visible: I was not inspecting for dirt). The pool and jacuzzi were closed for renovations. We asked if they partnered with a nearby hotel so that we could use their pool and we were pleasantly surprised that the Hilton, within walking distance had a pool available to us. We were quickly told, that that particular night the pool was not available to us because of an 'event.' ...read more

Its my third time staying here. Free shuttle to and from the park. The hotel itself is old but in nice condition. Hotel staff is really helpful and friendly, their manager sent an email before I arrive, helped me changed room, email me again after i left.
there are few rooms are jointed to each other. i had that room last time and my neighbor is quite. this time my neighbor is loud...I can hear they "shhh" to each other but still I can hear every word, so I just went down and front desk switched a room.

Location was great, especially with metro stop just down the hill.
The pool was not just closed, but drained and gutted. We were given a room with a view of the carnage. These rooms should have been deeply discounted given this, if not just closed off.
