Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Read House Historic Inn And Suites

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Perfect location downtown. Beautiful lobby area. Best of all, the staff was not always hanging around you with their hand out, as we have experienced elsewhere.
Furniture in the room was old and worn. No bath tub, just a shower.

A very welcoming place. Staff is attentive and helpful. We will stay again.

The beds were very clean and comfortable and the hotel in general was historic and lovely.
The room, especially the bathroom, was very small and didn't quite match the hotel. Kind of like staying in a 2 star room within a 3.5 star hotel.

Great location and proximity to everything downtown.
Hallways and elevators where a bit grungy compared to lobby and rooms, but not a big deal.

Very nice lobby, restaurant and very clean straightforward rooms with a bit outdated bathrooms.

Beautiful entry into one of Chattanooga'soldest and most historic hotels. Downtownlocation within walking distance to sites that we wanted to see.
Having to pay additional for parking, vey friendly but understaffed valet, light by door turned off alarm clock by bed having to reset, buttons missing from phone in room. Refrigerator was added to roomby request but did not fit under coffee maker.

Good location (can walk to Aquarium etc, or use free electric shuttle bus)Lovely historical foyerComfortable bed with feather pillows and comforter
Cheaper rooms a bit "tired".Pool had side area closed off with 'caution' tape, could have done with towels being collected more often, no changing room.Room service salad floating in vinaigrette.
