Hotel Guest Reviews of the Sheraton Los Angeles Downtown

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

We arrived in LA by train and took the metro from the train station to hotel. Hotel was conveniently across the street from Metro stop. Hotel staff was courteous and helpful.

We could not get the room a/c to cool the space enough.

The staff was good but at check in did not provide internet information or parking information.
There was not a menu inside my room for roomservice. The parking garage was in the next building and navigating the lot was confusing. I also felt like I was charged for an extra day of parking. I am not sure how the parking lot determines a full day.

Nothing
The staff was rude in every department within the hotel.

Double check your reservation before you get to the hotel. I mean, call them and verify the names, checkin date and check out date. Have them e-mail you confirmation e-mail with the confirmed details before you arrive. Because if for some reason your reservation dates are wrong - they will obviously only help you once they have determined that you (the traveler) is 100% not at fault. Also, the food at this hotel is disgusting - so don't bother. I tried eating 4 different things ranging from eggs Benedict to english muffin with fruit. I don't know how you mess up fruit and english muffin - but it's possible - trust me. Hopefully you don't need assistance in your room. I broke a glass because they refused to come and pick up the room service tray and when I tried to move the tray it bumped the wall and shattered on the floor. They told us that the elevator was broken and that's why they could come up - PLEASE. I might have believed that if there weren't 6 elevators - plus the service elevator(s) and we had JUST come up the elevator. Hopefully you don't need coffee from the onsite Starbucks because they have the most displeasing faces and then tell you it is going to be 5 minutes to make your drink and Do you want to wait? Apparently they work there but they don't want to actually work. Oh, also, they don't take American Express. Who doesn't take American Express? Especially, The Sheraton. ...read more

Location.
When I called the operator to see if my friend had checked in, she informed me that there was no such person at the hotel! Luckily, when I reached the desk in five minutes I was told that she had checked in and a courteous young man checked me in as well

Helpful staff.
There was a $28 dollar overnight parking fee that I was not informed about till I was checking in. I could have gone to another hotel in the area and it would have been complimentary. No room service after 12am. I checked in at 11:30pm. Valet was rude.

First impression I experienced was disagreable. I was driving up to the hotel and I was ignored by the Valet attendants while others after me with luxury cars were attended. I had to role down my window and flagged someone down. I look young and do not drive a luxury car but was in town for business and deserved the same courtesy. Finaly I was directed to the parking structure across for self parking. Check-in was fast. There was a $28 dollar overnight parking fee that I was not informed about till I was checking in. I could have gone to another hotel in the area and it would have been complimentary. No room service after 12am. I checked in at 11:30pm... this hotel is considered a 3.5 star I disagreed based upon the services that they were lacking. I asked for a late check out and was not accomodated. "They were booked the next day" On a weekday...I was in my room for less than 8 hrs and paid for a whole day... ...read more

I travel with my weinmariner, Tobryn. The Sheriton had 3rd floor pet rooms with patio doors opening up to a SECURE pet area for "potty", play and running....all in a fenced, secure area RIGHT OUTSIDE my room. Awesome!!! Definitely 4 stars.
I liked everything.

Location was perfect for my business and pleasure. Underground parking was $35 p/day, but they give you a "in/out" pass for no extra charge. Well worth the money. First three star plus hotel that had a pet area like this one. Enclosed, secure, long for running......palm trees for sniffing.....best I have encountered, so far. The room was beautiful. Bed was like sleeping on a cloud. I did ask room service for a blanket to put over the bedspread to minimize dog prints from running outside. Room service was awesome. Had the best cheeseburger/fries that I have had anywhere. Done perfectly. ...read more
