Hotel Guest Reviews of the Sheraton Fishermans Wharf

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

location is ideal for access to fishermans wharf, and north beach district. Great access to Cable Cars, Streetcars. Lots of cabs.
Shower curtains smell sour and moldy. Beware SPG elite members: This hotel WILL NOT give you elite benefits. NO free internet. No room upgrade. No late checkout. Internet is $15 a day and is slow and inconsistent.

Staff are very friendly, but this is really a renovated Motel (seriously). Despite a fresh coat of paint, it has a very motel feel and the rooms are not 4 star by any measure. The facility itself would be 3* maximum in my opinion. I think it got an extra star because of the swimming pool and I am sure corporate Sheraton added just enough amenities to qualify as a 4* establishment. Sour mouldy/bacterial smell in showers and hallways and fitness center. Location is good though. Beware first floor rooms that face the street. Noisy, not that private. Very expensive for what you get. Look at reviews on other sites...This place consistently rates at mediocre or worse. The 4* is not a rating of the hotel, but just due to list of amenities, which are individually poor, but let the hotel hit 4*. ...read more

There was trash still in the trash cans in my room when I checked in. I think for a 4 star hotel, it should have a mini fridge/honor bar. Also, no real glassware in the room, only plastic. Not 4 star material.

Outside seating areas
Unable to open the closet completely, walk to room was like heading out to the South 40 and the hallways look dirty. Terribly unimpressed!

Location is great - walking distance to Pier 39 and North Beach
Bathroom is extremely small and lack of internet in the rooms is really unbelievable these days

I would give the hotel 3.5 stars. The room is nice but not great and the tiny bathroom and lack of internet drop it below 4 stars. If it wasn't for the great location and staff, I would almost give it 3 stars.

The location was perfect, half a block to the wharf. The staff was very helpful and the beds were really comfortable.
The decor could use an update.
