Nice place, good food and lots of choose, not enough chairs at the pool you wait 30 minutes to 2 hours for chairs.

60 minutes to have my suitcases at the checkout,

I found an black scorpion on my room. I have to carried my luggage from the lobby to my room, with a 4 year old child; alone. Check out, making the line,
Staff who i had the opportunity of met, skip my turn twice, as I was making a late checkout they have to charge me with 20bucks, she did realize that i was not happy at all, and looking at my pitifully said that i did not have to pay the extra, as if that was going to make right her attitude. Finally, after 60 minutes the bellboy brought me my luggage, I just want to get out as fast as a can from that place. It is a shame, because my little girl enjoys the kids’ pool and my good she did; but I rather not to go back because of the Awful service and treatment that I received. ...read more

The food was not good at all, anywhere we ate. I would compare it to eating at Old Country Buffet.

The staff was friendly, we were warmly welcomed and not overwhelmed with sales folk desirous of timeshare clients. The property is nicely maintained and clean. Rooms are well furnished. Unfortunately, our experience was less than positive. The weather was cool when we were there, of course, no fault of the resort. However, there were very limited entertainment options for the bad weather. There was a live band in the piano bar that was just dreadfully off key. There was a show with only one show time and a nightclub with no action. It was during the busy holiday season as well! The food in both the Chinese restaurant where we dined as well as in the cafeteria was unfortunately not good, some of it was cold, some of it bland. Nothing to take note of. I like it was all inclusive.
Location was not in Playa Del Carmen but a 10 minute taxi ride out of the city.

I really enjoyed the evening entertainment as well as the staff. They were extremely friendly and accommodating.

The hotel staff were polite and helpful.
The "concierge" must work on commission, they were most aggressive and repeatedly hounded me regardless of how many times I said, "no thank you."

Upon arrival, we were swarmed by the "concierge." In reality, they are the sales team and apparently work on commission. They were quite aggressive and time consuming because if you need a cab, the bellhop is given a signal to wait until the sales person has a word with you, making you a captive audience. You're told, "it's going to take awhile," and then comes the hard sell; excursions, a 40%-50% savings on future stays, etc. The truth is, there are about 25-30 cabs waiting only steps away, but out of sight, of the hotel entrance and those cabs aren't called until the bellhop is told to do so. Had we eaten at a hospital cafeteria, it would have far surpassed what was offered. The food was bland at best and frankly, the worst food I'd ever eaten in a hotel, and I travel a lot. This was a most unpleasant experience, unless you like to drink to excess, I can't see the appeal of this place whatsoever and certainly won't be back. Worth the price. It was very clean & beautiful atmosphere.
Oriental restaurant was not very good food.

It was a wonderful 5 days and we would & plan to return.

I liked the pool and Jacuzzi.
I thought the food sucked. They need more vegetarian options.

Overall, my experience at the hotel was positive. The only major complaint that I have is the food. As a vegetarian, there weren't that many options for me, they should be more accommodating. The food was not that healthy.
