Hotel Guest Reviews of the Rome Cavalieri, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

It was like staying in a museum.
No.

Truly the standard against which other hotels are measured.

Beautiful grounds,luxurious interior.
A twenty minute walk to anywhere meaningful. No free coffee and breakfast was $35 Euros each. No where to get coffee close, so you were stuck paying the high price for breakfast. Also, you had to pay by the minute for wifi

It is a beautiful hotel with interesting history. However, be prepared to pay for more then just the room.

We loved the free shuttle to the downtown historic center, seeing as that would be a costly 20-30 minute cab ride each way. The customer service was great, and it was away from the chaos with some nature and space which is exceedingly rare in Rome.
The price for what you got. Extremely high euro prices for a regular room, regular food, etc. No idea how they can charge this much other than just the mere fact it is in Rome and has a view. Serious renovations are needed!

It was wildly overpriced and had the highest star rating possible but it didn't have that feel or look at all. If you are paying XXX-XXX a night for a regular room, you should have VERY high expectations for a 5 star hotel and what will be included. I don't know if it's just Rome or what, but in California where we are from this hotel would be considered good but not at all excellent. It felt like a XXX a night hotel. We splurged to come here for our honeymoon and we were very underwhelmed. The outside is very 1960's brick/regular/un-renovated, and the inside almost had a Vegas/Cesar's Palace feel. You have to pay 25 euros for each day of internet, when that absolutely should be free for this room cost. You should be able to go to the pool for free, when using the pools is another 30 euro fee. If you don't get the famous view of the city skyline on the more expensive back side of the hotel, you are looking at a crappy apartment complex and smelling tons of smokers outside your window so you won't want to open your balcony at all. The bed is comfortable, the pillows are great, the room is comfortable, the service was lovely, the restaurant and in room dining was very expensive but convenient (i.e. 20 euros for a bowl of soup). It is a good solid hotel, but you would assume for the price it is lavish luxury, but be warned - it is most certainly not! ...read more

Very classy hotel. The shuttle bus driver seemed happy all the time and always very pleasant. Staff was very friendly and accomodating.
Very expensive, not as convenient location wise. The room was clean but the bathroom was not. There were toothpaste drippings down the front of the sink, there was mold in the shower and there were spots on the floors.

Rooms, service, cleanliness, helpfulness, and shuttle service.

Best hotel I have ever stayed in, to include other WA resorts. Impeccable service all the time and really wonderful experience.

Beautiful, clean, friendly.
Getting gouged for extras, included in much cheaper hotels.

I would rather pay a little more rather than get charged $40 for TV, etc.
