Hotel Guest Reviews of the Residence Inn Reno

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Comfortable, safe, good breakfast, gentlemen who checked us in was friendly and gracious.
Layout of the breakfast was awkward, though the food was good.

Clean, beautiful, comfortable for me and my family.

Residence Inns are always nice and clean.
When I called to check on bed types, the man taking the phone call was rude.

Nothing.
Under major construction.
Rooms were inadequate for what we requested.

Hotel staff didn't informed us of the renovations that were occurring (until it was too late!) The doors to the facility were broken allowing access to anyone not staying at the hotel (making it seem a bit unsafe). The carpets were ripped up everywhere. During the day there was major noise due to the renovations. We were told by hotel staff we had a king non-smoking room. The room was a queen and too small for my husband who is well over 6'4". This was a nightmare! ...read more

Nothing
Everything - horrid place.

This is a total dump. Run, do not walk away. This place is tired and far away from the airport. Not convenient, not a place you will want to stay.

Location was close to main traffic ways.
Scratchy sheets, loud refrigerator, rude staff, dishonest about pet policy.

The website did not show a non-refundable pet deposit of $100.00. When we arrived at the hotel, we were charged the additional $100.00. This amount, combined with what we paid, would have paid for two nights in a similar property. The heat was impossible to control and loud, we had to unplug the in-room refrigerator because of the noise it made, the bed was uncomfortable and the sheets scratchy. Even with all this reported to the desk agent, when we asked to be changed to another room. ...read more

Front desk older gentleman named Daniel offerred us a room located on the floor and section of the hotel that we asked for.
No need for kitchen. Noise of fridge/ice maker. 3 small black stains in shower area. Casinos far away. Styrofoam and plastic use at buffet.

Spacious & clean room but showing signs of age and cost shortcuts
Appeared to be used by guests to pack lots of people into rooms. Breakfast was completely understaffed and overrun by large groups and kids

Not the best location. In direct take-off path from the airport and a bit of a drive from anywhere to eat. Rooms were clean but showed signs of age. Residence Inn used to be a nice place to stay but it appears that Marriott is no longer focusing on this brand. This particular Residence Inn appeared to be more like a low income housing location to us with kids running around for hours unattended and residents smoking at the entrances to every building. Breakfast was a complete disaster with everything being cleaned out by the multifamily groups that were in line ahead of us and although the 1 person that was there to attend to the food line appeared to be trying, she could not keep up with the demand. After 10 minutes of watching the hysteria and not even being able to get a cup of coffee, we decided to skip breakfast. Check-out was another test to our patience as the desk clerk appeared to be hiding out due to all the guest complaints about breakfast. We stood at the unattended desk for several minutes before giving up and deciding to call from our room. The desk finally answered after about 12 rings so that we could confirm our check-out as per their instructions. ...read more
